8 days agoHi Aymeric, I'm taking the liberty of opening a separate topic, as the new auction system is not a bug. I really think it's a shame about this change.
The auctions are a really exciting part of your game. And sorry to point it out, but not everything is exciting. The very idea and principle of auctions still has that appeal of stress, struggle, waiting, monitoring, etc. With this new system, you're killing the game.
With this new system, you're killing everything that makes it interesting.
I think that sellers will lose out too. In some cases, it only takes 1 or 2 bids to get the player, because it won't follow as much.
As with any idea or change, I can already imagine people thinking differently. But I think this change is a real, real shame. And I hope that those who think like me will come forward and that you'll be able to reverse your decision.
All the best,
Rull

8 days agoNow you just have to think about it a bit, before a player who is perfect between 2-3m, all you have to do is make an offer at 2.1m and no one will go for it because otherwise the bid step is too high. It's just going to help the clever ones or the guys who buy and sell to buy cheap.
Personally, I'm also quite surprised by this change and I'm not in favour of it.

8 days agoI think it's true that you can think and win, and the smartest, fastest, etc. will do very well. I'm not worried about the pros of buying and selling and auctions.
I just think it kills the thrill of the game and this game didn't need that.
Thanks for your comment

I don't see what's so exciting when resale becomes difficult, when players leave for less than 10m at auction, when we know very well that they're not worth it, or when the sale of players trained over several seasons yields nothing.
I'm waiting to see what new thing you're referring to.

8 days agoI agree with Rull.
I also fear the loss of interest in the auction's primary mechanism, which is to keep the buyer on his toes until the end of the auction and to sniff out bids that are more difficult to sniff out on the list. In this logic, the auction would 'boil down' (I stress the inverted commas) to placing the last bid economically in line with the player's value.
I can understand the aim of protecting the seller's interests more, but using auctions to sell also means accepting the risk of seeing your player leave at a lower price than you would have rationally obtained by placing him on the list.
This is just my personal opinion on the measure. A pleasant evening to all VFians 😉👍

8 days agoIt does not protect, I give you an example a player ng60 25 years, was selling at about 1-1.5m before. Today, if you bid 800k, the next bid will be around 1.7m. Nobody is going to bid 1.7m and so the person who bids 800k will win compared to before and the seller loses because he would have sold more before.

Absolutely, I can't see where the seller will win, unless the bidder isn't paying attention.
What I also find a shame is that I don't remember anyone complaining about the auctions or asking for changes, when for the last 10 months there have been dozens and dozens of proposals, some of them very pertinent. OK, so it's not our game, but it's a shame we don't make the necessary changes or come up with the ideas that people are in favour of, rather than changing something that everyone likes.
It's frustrating and a shame.

Sinn, what about text mode comments? There have been requests for months!

Why not double up to a certain point?
Like the first bid +100k, then 200k and the third 400k, up to a level that you can estimate.
Have a nice day

8 days agoSun's: Pourquoi ne pas doubler jusqu'à certain cap ?
Genre première enchère +100k suivante 200k la troisième 400k jusqu'à un palier que estimeras bien
Bonne journée
1.6 you go to 3.2. That's exactly what we're criticising in your example. You lose almost 10 bids.
From 4.4 to 8.8. Doubling is huge.

8 days agoRull43: 1,6 tu passes à 3,2. C'est exactement ce qu'on critique ds ton exemple. On perd près de 10 enchères.
De 4,4 à 8,8. C'est énorme de doubler.
Yep, hence my first sentence ... Anyway
"Up to a certain point

Hi Aymeric, if you've changed something, we can't see the difference. let's say it's tiny.
It's just that I don't think it's an evolution that improves the game. Let's say the auctions were sometimes very exciting, very dense... this seriously kills that aspect. You go from 15 auctions to 5 or from 5 to 1. It's less exciting.
Apparently I got a few thumbs up on this topic, I wasn't the only one to think so.
Anyway, we'll get used to it. Thanks for reading and replying, that was a victory in itself :)
