At the time, free players were of real interest. Every few minutes, interesting players would fall to the free players. But it was also one of the places where cheating took place.

Today, apart from mediocre players, there's nothing there. Except in very rare cases (I had an NG of over 60, for example).
What's more, these players inflate the stakes for nothing.

My idea: players whose level/potential would be discovered over the course of the season or over several seasons, depending on X number of matches played, for example.

More generally, I find the various transfer markets unattractive.
We could also talk about the auction levels where you can go from 300k (a good deal) to 600k (an overpaid player).

Free players should be reinstated as before, everyone will be able to get them if they are connected at the right time and there will be more mutual assistance between clubs as in the past 😉

The free market was a heresy that only benefited the same people... but given where we are with the free market, nothing would surprise me any more.... There was a time when there was no going back according to Aymeric's diatribes and in the end, the written word remains but the facts apparently differ.

These "same" clubs helped a lot of other clubs to get some, especially new registrants who had started the game not long ago 😉
They may have received more than the others, but they spent almost 24 hours a day on VF too ^^.
And everyone had as much chance of getting some as the others, it was the fastest who got them, and anyway there were so many that only 1 club could take 2-3 maximum at a time if it was very very lucky. At the time, if I managed to get even 1, I was so happy 😁
It was the best VF era...

It's true that the free players were a plus, it could come back by putting from time to time a few good free players who are in abandoned clubs or clubs delete.
It will also make the free transfer part more attractive and it will keep some people busy in the meantime.

It would be nice to make the different transfer markets more attractive.
