Hello everyone

There are a few changes coming with Season 149.

VF Points: the points system for defeats

Since the mid-season update for Season 148, a defeat also earns VF points. This system has been adjusted: a defeat now earns a third of the points a victory would have earned, instead of half.

Draws, however, remain unchanged: they still earn half the points of a win.

Playing is therefore still more rewarding than not playing, but the gap between a good and a bad result is widening.

Inactivity and the academy

A club left without a manager will eventually fall behind. From now on, every 90 days of absence results in the loss of one academy level, with a minimum of level 5. An academy at level 5 or below is never affected.

The manager in question is notified by email each time a level is lost, and simply logging back in resets the counter to zero. Your academy is therefore safe as long as you keep playing.

A new community challenge on 1 September

The next community challenge starts on 1 September: the Back-to-School Challenge. New this time round, the community will be split into two teams — Team Blue and Team Red — and each club will join one of the two sides. Goals scored in inter-club matches will help your team progress.

As always, remember to click on ‘Take part’ on the goal page before contributing: contributions made before signing up won’t be counted.

From Season 150: inter-team matches

The number of inter-agreement matches will be reduced next season:

  • 80 matches per agreement per season, instead of 100.
  • 8 matches per club per season, instead of 10.

Nothing will change in the meantime: the current quotas remain in force until the end of season 149.

Enjoy the game, everyone
