For this new season, a new individual accolade is being introduced on Virtuafoot: The Alliance Champions.

At the end of each season, the club that has earned the most IE points in each of the Division 1 alliances is crowned champion of its alliance. This title is recorded and counted in the Group Champions standings, and results in an entry in the club’s honours list, as well as a prize of €10m and 5 VF points credited for the following season.

In the event of a tie on points, the title is awarded to the club with the longest standing in the alliance.
