47h agoSometimes its hard to understand the way stats can impact play-styles and overall ratings. I feel more information ,like a tag on players stating their preferred play-styles, would go a long way into teaching new players the basics. Theres no reference to gauge from or tell you what stats influence ir benefit what. Ive tried to look at the beginners guide but with it being translated i don't know if it explains it the best or if its just my lack of understanding. I also find it confusing how a players rating can be higher like 70 with certain individual instructions but have no impact whatsoever in majority of team instructions but then inversely can be a 25 rated on a different individual instruction regardless of what team instructions. So to clarify. I feel a more informative intro to the games tactics mechanics would make it a-lot less stressfull. I really enjoy the game but its frustrating when you make changes based on information you think you have worked out but for it to actually be a gamble due to lack of knowledge.
To clarify my main suggestion is to add tags to players that state their preferred instructions and tactics (even if brief) so that theres at least a reference point to work from. Also perhaps a more in depth tutorial about it.
If there is more information then what i have seen or theres something im missing then i will apologize in advance and hope you dont take offence at my suggestions on an otherwise great game. Thanks!

46h agoHello
There is a VF manual: #manual
Unfortunately, it’s in French.
No translation has been provided.
You could always have a look at it and try translating it yourself? If you have access to an AI translator, that’d be brilliant for getting to grips with some of the essentials.
Enjoy the game

Bonus from play style doesn't affter player's overall rating it is added on "collective" rating of team in certain sector (short passing / creative for midfield for example). All 10 outfield players affect this bonus. Bonus is actually relative to the opposition's bonus if they were using that same style (regardless of style they're using), so no style is definitely useful.
I can't say much about balance between overall rating, focus on playing styles and stamina (though I have a clear preference, but I've never focused on maximizing "whole" stats), so I'll leave that completely up to you and others much more knowledgable who might offer an advice.

4h agoTo be fair, I didn't make that tutorial, and I kinda "distort" players in order to achieve a high short passing style bonus, have a decent bonus if the opposition uses creative style without having to adapt, something related to my bias / preference in real life football, but it's not very effective, though it's actually not that bad.
