It was changed a few seasons ago (following an improvement suggestion I made 😃 ) but it reappeared 2 or 3 seasons later.
I don't think it was deliberate. I'm willing to bet it was part of an update that overrode the change 😜.
Going back to an LDC in the format of the real thing, yes it would bring change to the routine.
Incidentally, the federation league I organise with the game admins is modelled on this format and it works really well.

The current format of the Irish ldc is 36 teams ... how can you imagine doing that here?

• 4 groups of 36 teams with the same qualification system?
• 4 groups would mean 144 teams instead of the current 128
• A play-off from 9th to 24th in each group
• 64 teams remaining, so 32e finals, having played 8 or 9 matches, potentially 15 ldc matches for the winner, in addition to the championship 14 matches, the IE, the league cup ...

Ca ferait rajouter des matchs mais ca peut être pas mal , il y a eu des surprises en irl . donc pourquoi pas meme même si perso je ne la joue pas pour le moment 😅
