On the progress curve we can see (in addition to the blue curve which gives the theoretical progress), the red curve with the player's current score.

My suggestion for improvement is as follows:
At the end of each season, players who play in different positions are given a final grade which is not their actual maximum grade but the grade they have in their current position.

Why not ensure that this grade is not the player's maximum grade rather than the player's grade in his current position? (Concerns the red curve)
That would give a better picture of the player's real progress over the seasons.

I think it shows player's overall rating at the start of the season in a position he was "assigned" at that moment
