06/05/2024Salut a tous,

9 month agoI'm bringing up this topic again, which I think could be of interest to quite a few clubs that use the CDF

9 month agoCool I had already proposed the idea 2 months ago in cdf management, I hope that the idea will be taken into account instead of going down the drain as when I submitted it

9 month agoYes, it's possible to teach juniors new positions. However, it would be more restrictive than a simple drop in progression.

9 month agoWhy not make it so that to learn a new position at the cdf, the junior spends two seasons instead of one 🤔?

A drop in potential?

Yes, for example.

Why is there always a quid pro quo for something good?

9 month agoBecause if everything is free, nothing has any value. It's simply a question of keeping a balanced game, with an interest in having versatile players, but also for specialists in their position.

That seems like a good solution to me, as a player in the CoF who doesn't play in his preferred position could see his training percentage impacted and leave the CoF later as a result.

9 month agoOn average, a player earns between 2.5% and 3% per match, if I'm not mistaken. So if by changing position he earns 0.5%, wouldn't that be restrictive enough already?
On the other hand, if you take a young player out when he's not at 100% in his new position, would he keep those percentages or would they be reset?

I won't use it, that's understandable, but no one will use it, that's another story. The possibility may exist but no one will be obliged to use it, those who decide to do so despite, well that will be their choice.

9 month agoAn impact on potential would in fact, as Blagoje points out, be considered too serious by managers and would therefore make this possibility of making players versatile before their exit from the CDF of no interest. On the other hand, as Mich indicates, this possibility could be logically and legitimately compensated by a slower filling of the training gauge. It would also make the choice more difficult in the choice of leaving the CDF player at the age of 17 or later.
