If there’s a start-up bug for one, two or even three seasons, fair enough – that’s something you can put up with. But systematically at the start of every season since it was introduced… Personally, I reckon the settings at that level are sorted, with just a few unknown cases left (deliberately, if you consider that A45 likes to leave information for players to discover).

So, I’m working on the assumption that an arrival the day before the new season, less than 24 hours before it starts, is too close for this system.

As luck would have it, I too had two signings to make a few hours before the new season. I reckoned they’d arrive before the start of the new season, so it should have been fine. But I preferred to wait, let the old club make the signings and pick them up afterwards. That said, I realise that in your case, the purchase might not have been able to wait, particularly if it was an auction, for example.

So, as far as I’m concerned, there’s no glitch there. That said, if A45 or the head admin drops by to confirm or deny this, we’ll know for sure ;)
