I don't know if this subject has been discussed, but I recently saw that Socrates (before he resigned) had said that you shouldn't abuse scheduling matches to play the cup match whenever you want.

I don't want to be the bad guy here, I'm out of the cup so it doesn't concern me any more, but I'm thinking of all the remaining clubs who will have to sacrifice a large part of their league if they want to play in the cup.

I saw on the Normandy Cup that you have to wait at least 10 days for the next round, which is a bit excessive (match on 21/04)

Although the person doesn't want to play in the Normandy Cup, they have entered another cup which makes it impossible to schedule the match.

For your information, it is not possible to register for one cup if you are already involved in another.
That said, it is possible to register for several cups as long as none of them has started, and it's when they have started that the problems arise...
There is also the not insignificant risk of not being eligible for the official cups the following season if the cup is not completed in time.

To clarify the last point raised by Blagoje, playing in a League Cup final on the last day of the season means you miss out on the following season's LDC or VFFA. I experienced this bug when I switched from S136 to S137.

Same problem in Normandy...

in the Midi Pyrenees, there are clubs who play their cup matches on dates far away, even though they haven't played any other cup or IE matches... they've only played friendly matches.

if they'd played their cup games much earlier, we could surely have played the quarter-finals 2 or 3 days before they were scheduled...

Given that the rules have been changed. Shouldn't there be sanctions for those who abuse friendly matches?
I say abused because to do it 1 time so that it falls in your rotation of your A when you form in team B I understand it completely but when you program 4 5 6 friendly in a row then it is abused

If you look at the match schedule for the Normandy Cup match on the 21st, it's not the friendlies that are delaying things so much. One of the managers playing on the 21st only has cup and league matches, so it's not the friendlies that are delaying things

If (official) cup matches are postponed because of friendlies, please give us the link to the league cup concerned so that we can see if something is feasible or not

If official cups are postponed because of friendly cups, why shouldn't the dates be reversed?
