29/03/2024Bonjour,

10 month agoHow are you?
On the other hand, I think it's disgraceful that anyone can schedule matches at the time they want without the agreement of the opponents. I've had 2 matches against one opponent at 9.00am

10 month agoIf the person lives on another continent, I find it logical that they can choose the time they want for a few euros.Bryouu : Hi,

I've just come back from the Dominican Republic. The 6-hour time difference is very annoying on vf. You can't play in the evening (at 8pm it's 2am in France), your players leave for selection at 3.55pm...
Management is much more complicated...
Let them choose their own schedule, that's the least we can do.

10 month agoSome time ago, I floated the idea of creating a pre-configured championship with a staggered timetable, like the Americas.
The idea was to give opportunities to clubs playing from there.
And that would open up a 'market'
That ties in completely with what estac is saying

10 month agoBut what happens if we both pay for the time of our matches? If one chooses 9.00am and the other 7.00pm lol

10 month agoAs far as your match is concerned, it's normal for your opponent to be able to choose the time of his home match if he has taken out a paying option on the vf store. For the away match, on the other hand, we can make a few changes.

10 month agoBut in Limousin it's always been like that, home and away. Matches at 8am, and you know we've already talked about this, are really bad for everyone, especially as every season several members (it's happened to me) forget their line-up for the match against them, and this doesn't help either with the tiredness of our players, who play 1.5 days before rather than 2.

10 month agoI'm not at the seaside at 9am, I'm filling my shelves 🤪
For me, putting matches on in the morning is more like putting a thorn in my opponent's side than anything else. Because we know that 90% of people at 9am are at work. Du cou je viens de voir que j'ai même 4 matchs à 9h du matin dans mon championnat.

But it wouldn't be fair, either, if they themselves couldn't coach their team in league matches if they weren't at GMT.

10 month agoHmmm, that's not the only side of the coin.
There are also those who have different availabilities.
Personally, I don't play at lunchtime because I don't want to find anyone opposite me. But only because I prefer to play during my lunch break, rather than in the middle of dinner, or at a time when I'm looking after my family.
There's no harm in that. It's just a pleasure to play when you have time. And not having to 'not play' because your priorities are different.
The Store offers just such an option.
That's why the idea of championships based on time slots seemed interesting. Because that way, everyone plays at the same time, 'automatically' and adapted to the rhythm of the registered players, who therefore accept the conditions of the championship

10 month agoThere's also respect for your opponent.
Otherwise, as someone who gets up at 4.30 a.m., I schedule my matches for 5 a.m., while I'm having breakfast, the bus journey, and so on

10 month agoAfter all, there's a difference between midday and 4.30am...
In the same way, those who work in the afternoon will always be condemned not to play if we follow this logic? Because all the matches take place between 5pm and 8pm, I believe?
So a guy who works afternoons won't be entitled to a playable championship? :/
In fact, I think we're on the same wavelength. The ideal idea would be to have championships with times that suit everyone. And for that, offering times that are known in advance, and several choices of time slots would be the best way to ensure that everyone is in lively leagues, with no surprises :)
