Bonjour Aymeric,

Giving them away at a loss – why not? – but being able to resell them? I don’t think that’s a good idea; we’d need to be able to draw up schedules for when the workshops will start and stop operations in the long run :/

100 per cent against,
One of the key aspects of running a shop (workshop-warehouse) is knowing how to manage your stock effectively. It’s up to you to work out the right quantities to buy, based on the daily fluctuations in the price of raw materials, and to do the maths to decide whether to buy products or make them yourself.
If you end up with too much raw material, it’s up to you to find ways to use it up by adjusting your production accordingly.
Otherwise, it turns into a game of speculation on buying raw materials just to buy and resell them, and that becomes a bit of a mess for a management game.......of a football club!
We already have the buying and selling of players for that, but if the game now also involves trying to get rich (or limit your losses) by buying and selling cotton or aluminium, we’re straying a bit – or rather a lot – from the game’s original purpose, aren’t we?

The aim of my proposal isn’t to engage in trading. It’s simply to enable anyone who tried the 2.0 shop when it launched but who, in the end, didn’t take to this new feature at all to release their stock…

That’s why I’m making it clear that these items can be released at a loss or at cost.

I simply wanted to put forward the proposal in a neutral way without suggesting that the 2.0 shop had ended up failing to interest many people… At least, that’s what’s come across in my own little circle, amongst those who jumped in blindly at the start.

Anyway, it’s not a major proposal. Just the possibility of a ‘reset’ button, like the one available in the workshops.

L'aspect financier m'importe peu.

The real question is why so many clubs have rushed headlong into this so-called improvement…Managers with experience, especially given the financial outlay involved, and who, on the face of it, knew full well that they wouldn’t become billionaires overnight through the shop, whatever the case may be
It’s only natural, I suppose, to be drawn to something new, but there was no point in throwing themselves into it headlong.

In itself, as long as you keep workshop costs within reasonable limits, it pays for itself in two or three years, which isn’t much on VF

Did you mean two or three months?

King Tu voulais dire deux/trois mois ?

Not in years. But on VF it’s common; it’s the same with the TV channel – it takes a bit of time, if you make the most of it, of course.

The shop before the workshops – same story. There, you can even choose to do just the flocking, and it’ll pay for itself even quicker.
