To enter the Top Twelve for the 10th edition (rewarded as last season with 12 M to the winner, 5 M to the finalist, 3 M to the qualifiers and 1 M per match won in the final phase)
1°) You must not have played or scheduled more than 4 matches by 16 August, as the publication date for the final 1st phase rankings is 17 August.
2°) You must not be taking part in a competition taking place at the same time (such as the CAN, for example) where the participants have non-random matches, set by their organiser.

Reminder: Under penalty of losing a match on the green carpet (not to mention any sanctions decided by the admins), you must comply with the general rules applicable to the federations' regulations.
In particular, these rules include not taking advantage of an injured or suspended player selected to make a 6th change during the match.

There is no pre-registration for the 1st phase. Only the 12 qualifiers from the Top Twelve will be asked to post their approval of the rules. The 1st round is free (which doesn't mean you can't respect the rules!).

Following the match Tanzania Belarus the match is declared lost for Tanzania on the green carpet for a triple reason:

  1. Selection of 6 RTG

  2. Selection of two players from the same club
    A. Hus
    M. Tumba

  3. Selection of two players from the same club

2nd match of Tanzania with a composition contrary to the VF regulations of the Federations
#match?mid=6369950
And so 2nd match lost on the green carpet
Well, I've got the impression that Tanzania are out of the competition anyway, since they're now taking part in the African Cup of Nations, which is incompatible with the League of Federations.

Yesterday, a reminder of the rules was sent to the Tanzania coach, who was unaware of this aspect of the workings of federations (!!!); in the event of a repeat offence, he will be punished in accordance with the rules.

One suggestion.
Wouldn't it be a good idea if, when a manager applies for a federation election, there was a box to tick stating that the candidate had read the rules and agreed to abide by them ... the VF rules, not the League of Federations rules 🙂.
Because it's a bit easy to tell an admin that you didn't know ... because to select two players from the same club, you have to use a loophole (known by assumption known by those who use it!).

No, all it takes is for a selected player to be transferred. It can happen to any coach who doesn't systematically check all his players 5 minutes before validating his selection. So in fact it can happen to absolutely anyone.

Yes, it can happen in the case you mentioned (and the same goes for more than 5 players per agreement), but in 99% of cases it happens differently 🙂 Look at the number of days the clubs belong to and you'll see that it's done differently.
Look at the number of days the clubs concerned have been members and you'll see that it happens differently (don't act ignorant, you know enough about the game to know how it's done). It's already happened that a federation has fielded 5 players from the same club, including 2 in training, so you can be sure that this doesn't really correspond to your example, which once again is very marginal.

Then you have to distinguish between the competition rules and the VF rules.
If the case you mention happens in the competition, the match will be lost on the green carpet, but I think that the VF admin who receives the case you mention will be understanding if the coach is acting in good faith and will ask him to regularise the situation without imposing a penalty of his own on VF.

Given that the proposals do not allow you to know your opponent in advance, this does not pose a problem... but if it is found to be an 'arrangement' between the two federations, the administrative team will be able to issue a warning and impose sanctions in the event of a repeat offence.

The 1st phase of the League came to an end with last night's matches.

  2. Slovakia 12 pts 12-1
  3. Belarus 10 pts 10-0

  8. Iran 10 pts 6-1 (drew with Iceland)
  9. Georgia 10 pts 4-0
  10. Luxembourg 9 pts 8-2

  12. New Zealand 9 pts 11-5
  13. Saudi Arabia 9 pts 5-0
  14. France 8 pts 6-1
  15. Tuvalu 8 pts 3-1
  16. Latvia 7 pts 8-1

For the 16 federations concerned, you must accept the rules for the second phase before 8pm on Tuesday evening.
Depending on the eventual refusal of certain federations, the final ranking of the 1st phase, which will be used to draw up the table for the second phase, will be published on Tuesday evening.

As a reminder: the top 4 qualify directly for the quarter-finals, the federations ranked 5 to 12 play a 1/8 final play-off and the federations ranked 13 to 16 above are on the waiting list and will qualify if a federation ranked 1 to 12 refuses to take part.

I hadn't realised that Australia was "out of the running" because of its participation in the CP Cup.
As a result, the first-phase standings have been changed as follows: All the teams move up one place and Sweden, who were 17th, become 16th and are potentially eligible to qualify.
