Taudecci's Honduras put their title back on the line - who will succeed them?
Let's move on to the hats:
- Hat 1 is made up of Honduras and Jamaica, last year's finalists.
- Hat 2 is made up of Cuba and Ecuador;
- Uruguay and Peru make up hat 3.
A quick note: Hat 1 is made up of the two Copa America finalists.
Then, for the other hats, I first took into account the VF Index, then the performances of the last Copa America and the last World Cup.
However, Uruguay and Ecuador were still tied, so I had to draw lots. To avoid this kind of pitfall, I can only encourage you to play a small final to determine 3rd place.
So ... time for the draw ...

Tournament schedule: The group phase will be played over two legs, making 4 matches. The deadline is 19 October at 23:59.
The top two finishers in each group qualify for the semi-finals.
The semi-finals will be played in a single match. Those who finish first in their respective groups host the semi-final.
If there is a tie at the end of this match and no second leg, we go straight to the cruel penalty shoot-out. You send me 2 rounds of penalties (1 round = 5 shots and 5 saves).
The deadline is 27 October at 23:59.
(that should be 1 week to play the half)
The final will be played over two legs. There will be 2 weeks left, if I count correctly.
At the end of these 2 matches, the winner will be decided by the result, then goal difference, and if it's a tie, penalties.
I can only encourage you to play a small final. It can be played as a single match, and I'll let the losing semi-finalists come to an agreement.

Solid games from both sides that came down to very little, but the Uruguayans dominated the proceedings.
I had a bit of a moan at vf when the substitute for my injured player came on 5 minutes after he'd been on. Just like the substitutes at the end of the match and the update.

Yesterday's game against Zebounet ended in a 2-2 draw, with me leading on both occasions, but it just wouldn't do.
Good competition for my mates in the group, but I'm going to have to move on.

2 draws, 2 defeats, a slight lack of success in this highly competitive competition and that was the end of the road.
Honduras will be back, more motivated than ever, for the next edition.
Celeste Fútbol Selección : Anactarion - URUGUAY LR ¤ Artifex lignarius ¤: zebounet - ECUADOR1 win, 3 draws, 6 points: that is the similar record of La Celeste and La Tri in this very tight first group phase.
With a similar attack and goal difference in the Group 2 table, the focus should be on the double-header between Uruguay and Ecuador.
Thanks to their away goal, La Celeste took top spot and will have the honour of hosting Cuba in the semi-final.

21 dagen geledenFor this semi-final between Uruguay and Cuba, the teams seemed a little timid.
With some of the usual first-team regulars rested, it was a good opportunity to see some young talent shine through.
Raguso, who started for the first time, set an example by playing well off-centre on the left wing, getting the better of the young Aranda and curling his right-footed shot past Carvajales.
Alonso was often challenged by Gomez on the right side of defence, and Icart came on for the Celeste, with only Quintana showing any enterprise in the second half without success.
In the end, the referee sent both teams to the dressing room with a score of 1-0.
