Hello A45
On mobile, the display of commas is a disaster – you can’t tell whether you’re pulling ahead or getting thrashed. Could you remove them?
Whilst you’re tweaking the match graphics, could you please look into the possibility of displaying XG figures during the match? In real life, managers have access to this data in real time, so it would make sense to have it here too! Perhaps that would help avoid complaints on the MdM?

As for the last sentence, er, no… Quite the opposite, in fact, given that the test had already been carried out before being withdrawn for that very reason.

Now that both have been revealed, it’s not certain that the behaviour seen during the first trial will continue…

It really is awful on a mobile – you can’t see a thing.

The XG is useless during the match.

That’s your opinion. Not mine.

It’s not a matter of opinion, it’s a matter of knowledge; by exporting match data and compiling it, we can analyse it without actually seeing it, based on the players’ positions.

If you can remember where you were positioned in the 64th minute of the match that led to a chance – even though sometimes it was the action in the 63rd minute that set it up – well done.

For me, beyond the post-match analysis (which is certainly possible but potentially imperfect), it’s the analysis during the match that interests me as a complement. And that’s only possible with a real-time display of XG.

You can only assess them if two plays by the same team (chance/goal/foul) are close enough together. It’s perfectly possible to have a play with a 0.15xG value and not have a chance, goal or foul, for example.

On the other hand, yes, it won’t stop the complaints; it was removed for that reason too.

This is the principle behind data analysis.

Yes, but that means the data is very incomplete at the moment. You can only really assess a small proportion of the news stories

You sound quite confident.
It’ll never get rid of them completely, that’s for sure, but would it soften the sound? Especially now that you’ve experienced both versions?

Surtout quand t’as désormais connu les 2 versions?

I do have my doubts about some people here, yeah.

That said, I’m totally behind your idea

I think you’re being a bit naive on this one, Alo...As proof, none of the whingers have turned up on your thread... Whatever improvements are made, they’ll behave in much the same way time and again, and will attract all those who need to moan about their league match or IE, or often about friendlies lost the night before against an AFK player.

That said, just like Galy, I’m not against your suggestion… Comma or no comma, it won’t change the way I approach the game.

I’m fully in favour of Aloisio’s suggestion.
Commas clutter up the display and don’t make the text any easier to read. 100 or 100.7 – it’s all the same.

Naive? I don’t know – it’s possible!
What I do know is that, in any case, whatever happens, nothing will achieve unanimous support. So if a significant proportion of Vfo members share this view, there’s nothing to stop it. The problem then is the question of the majority: indeed, there’s no guarantee that the majority would be in favour. But that would be a never-ending debate.
