Yes, there are 2 cups per season.
It seems to me that there was a "bug", which meant that if a club played in the League Cup + was entered in the internal cup of its association ... then it was no longer eligible to qualify for the LDC or VFFA.

I say that because there is a coach who already has 15 cup games scheduled or to be played and maybe more if he qualifies...
