2 month agoThe rich are getting even richer...
Unfortunately, once again, we are witnessing an unfair decision that only serves to widen the huge gap between the D1 teams and the rest of the divisions.
Rewarding the league champion is a great idea, but why isn’t this extended to D2 and D3?
So I propose a better solution: implementing a sliding-scale system:
Division 1 champion: Receives 100% of the prize money.
Division 2 champion: Receives 50% or 60% of the prize money.
Division 3 champion: Receives 25% or 30% of the prize money.
This solution makes it possible to:
Support clubs in the lower divisions to help them progress.
Maintain a reasonable financial gap in favour of Division 1, without unfairly widening the divide.

2 month agoNo, what bothers me is the way the issue is being raised. I’ve no problem with there being bonuses in the other divisions, but instead of just making a normal proposal, you’d rather use this as an opportunity to bash the ‘bad’ Premier League clubs who are too strong and too rich, even though in six months’ time you’ll have the squad to compete in that division.

2 month agoActually, I think what he’s proposing is quite reasonable.
It’s a bit like saying that, in a league, the winners of the second and third tiers don’t receive any prize money, when in reality they do.
He’s also proposing a system with rewards that decrease depending on the division the club plays in, which strikes me as consistent and balanced.

2 month agoI thought this applied to the lower divisions as well. It stands to reason… that he shouldn’t receive a similar reward makes sense, but that he gets nothing at all doesn’t. Just like the title in the honours list for Divisions 2 to 5… it costs nothing to add it. It recognises a collective achievement that deserves a place in the honours list; depending on the division, it may be less prestigious. But it’s still a title…

That’s constructive compared to the dozens of threads where people compare VF to FIFA, where you can start the game with Barça. Although VF is getting closer to that...

The largest bonus for D1, with the bonus decreasing for each division.
This could help and motivate the teams and leagues.
100% of the proposed amount for D1
80% for D2
60% for D3
40% for D4
20% for D5
Here is my proposal

As far as I’m concerned, this whole thing is a massive farce; offering bonuses to the top clubs in each D1 division is a bloody ***** idea :)
Actually, I’m really worried ^^
I’m sure some of the top teams from the D2 and D3 leagues will want to take up the challenge and boost their end-of-season takings
Anyway, I don’t know if you lot think 10 million is a significant amount or not, but yes, I reckon some will move to Division 1 leagues…

2 month agoNo, but seriously, 10M per member of just ONE alliance – that’s nothing! It just adds a bit of competition between members, and for that, it’s a very good idea.
Will members of alliances 2 and 3 move up to alliance 1? Perhaps, but I doubt it, and even if that were the case, it would only strengthen those alliances!
As for the lower divisions, it would be normal for them to be included in this challenge as well

So you need to be careful if the bonuses extend all the way to d5. There are certainly plenty of oddballs who would be capable of setting up 30 clubs, getting them to form 30 alliances of which they would be the sole members, just to make a bit of money....

More seriously, do you really think people are going to join a specific alliance just for that 10M? It seems unrealistic to me. Extending this to the lower divisions could cause problems, as demi said.
Don’t forget that new revenue is inevitably offset by additional expenditure. Personally, I’d even scrap that 10m. The honours list might be enough, and there’s no real problem with extending it to everyone.

After 6 months playing the game, I’ve barely got 2 million in my bank account lol

2 month agoLet’s say that 10M is no small sum. But for a team in Division 1, aiming for that isn’t something that’s going to fundamentally change their club.
500k in Division 5 is very little, really very little, bearing in mind that it’s supposedly intended for teams capable of picking up a few points. Given that it’s one per agreement, I really struggle to see the point of it.

We’re talking here about a paltry bonus for a potential D1 league champion!
I reckon you’re lacking a bit of perspective and experience on VF Ali, but you’re never short of a good bit of controversy on the forum 🙂↕️
Take the time to build your team and play by the established rules before constantly trying to overhaul something you’ve only just begun to grasp; this will allow you to gain experience and insight into the game, as well as build your reputation as a manager.
Experience counts for a lot here; never forget that on your long journey through VF 🙏🏼

2 month agoPerhaps this bonus seems paltry to you and to the wealthy clubs in Division 1,
but it would be of real value to the clubs in the leagues looking to progress.
As president of a league, I’m not looking to stir up controversy; I’m simply defending my league’s interests 😉
I’m not asking for millions for everyone, but for a fairer rewards system.
If bonuses already exist in other competitions, such as the league,
why not extend them to league-based competitions?

2 month agoClearly, this bonus isn’t a reform that’s going to fundamentally change the game. It adds a bit of spice to the inter-team dynamics and puts a bit more money into the game. I can’t see any downsides. Given the scale of the reform and what we know about how much the Game Master values our opinions, I don’t see the point in giving my views on this reform. It could perhaps be improved… loopholes for cheating would be easily closed if the bonus were lower than the cost of forming an alliance.
A sliding-scale bonus per division: 10/8/6/4/2. Earning points is also appealing, given how difficult it is to earn them these days. So, that’s what I think ^^

I need to catch the helicopter to the airport, then take the association’s jet to pick up our organiser, Tbar, who’s been scouting locations in the Maldives for our AGM, which is to be held there. Lorenzo, our chairman, wants it to be spectacular; there’s loads of cash in the accounts, so we’ve got to blow the budget before the end of the season.
The helicopter’s a right pain; I’m getting absolutely fed up with it… I’d much rather go in the club’s Bugatti Chiron, but it’s in for a service in Molsheim. I’d told Lolo to get two of them to avoid this sort of hassle.
Right, I’ll leave you to it – I’ve got Hazard on the line who also wants to go to the Auberge de l’Ill to prepare for the match with the national team. He found Drake’s invoices lying around in the office...
