2 month agoThank you, Aymeric, for taking the initiative.
I hope this will raise the standard in D1 a little by giving the managers a bit of motivation.

2 month agoYes, it’s true that this could encourage leagues that don’t play their full 100 matches.
But in many of the top-ranked leagues, there isn’t a rush to play IE matches; the number of IE matches each team plays is allocated by the chairman.
So it will be difficult for a club assigned only 3 or 4 matches to compete with a club that is allocated 10 matches
It would be fairer if the title were awarded based on the points-per-match ratio
For example, a club plays 8 matches = 3 wins, 3 draws, 2 defeats, totalling 12 points and a ratio of 12/8 = 1.5 points
It is still less deserving than a club that plays 4 matches – 2 wins, 2 draws – totalling just 8 points but with a ratio of 8/4 = 2 points

2 month agoWhereas this one, who’s only been allocated 3 IE instead of 10 IE, might join another agreement that could let him play to the max 😂😂

2 month agoFor 10M, 5 points and a wooden trophy?
Not sure that’s going to turn things around or change anything 🤪

2 month agoI think the aim is to encourage people to look elsewhere if necessary, if that’s what this title is about.

2 month agoExactly, ELU is looking for members to aim for a place on the podium, and they’ll be playing 10IE 😄

2 month agoHonestly, there are more important things to sort out on VF than setting this up, aren’t there?
Training, for example.

2 month agoIt’s been scaled back quite a bit compared to what we could do a few seasons ago.
You take a risk by developing players over several seasons. If your youngster stays injury-free, he’ll barely manage to score a few more points than his potential.
All that, only to see a flood of ng90 star players turn up in bogus Level 1s.

2 month agoThe training might be all well and good, but compared to what’s available on the app store, it’s rubbish.

2 month agoIt doesn’t solve all of Virtufoot’s problems, but it’s a nice improvement. It adds a bit of friendly competition within the team – we can have a bit of a race against our colleagues! :)

2 month agoI had a laugh reading this short story.
It really is the sort of story that makes you realise there’s something new going on.
