38 days agoHello everyone,
Registration for the 61st edition of the VFIFA World Cup is now open.
Registration closes on Sunday 21 June at 11.59 pm.
The organisers of this edition are:
Marcus: LR ¤ Liverpool FC ¤
El Pigeon: Le Pigeon Voyageur [LMG]
To register, please state the nationality you are representing and include the phrase “rules read and approved” along with a link to your club.
Here are the rules:
I. The overall aim is to take part, have fun… and get to know all the nations represented. To this end, please feel free to role-play, comment on your matches or keep a diary to liven up the forum and bring the “World Cup” community together. A Discord server specifically for the competition will be set up to facilitate communication.
II. Fair play and respect are particularly important. Above all, please feel free to chat on the forum and Discord (friendly banter
is allowed).
III. Match results must be posted on the VFORUM and, if possible, on Discord; in the relevant thread, so they can be validated.
IV. Each group stage and knockout round will have a strict deadline that must be adhered to. This is to ensure the smooth running of the competition and out of respect for other participants.
Any match played outside these deadlines will not be counted and a 1-0 defeat will be awarded to both managers.
The season goes by quickly; registration is on a voluntary basis, so you undertake to meet the deadlines set.
V. You must have a national team comprising at least 11 players of the same nationality.
A minimum of around fifteen players is recommended.
VI. You are permitted to field a naturalised player.
VII. A nation may only be represented by a single manager. No ‘England B’ team, for example. If two identical nations wish to participate, a play-off may be held to determine which team takes part.
VIII. No loaned players may participate in vfifa competitions.
IX. All matches are played on a random basis.
X. Any failure to comply with the rules may result in a forfeit; or even exclusion from the competition.
XI. If you become aware of a breach of the aforementioned rules by a player registered for the Cup, please contact the competition organisers immediately.
XII. In the event of a points tie between two (or more) teams in the group stage, they will be decided by, in order: goal difference, head-to-head record, best attack, and finally the VF ranking.
XIII. In the event of a draw in the knockout stage, a penalty shoot-out will be used to decide between the two teams. You must send 10 shots and 10 saves (G, C, D) to your competition organiser.
XIV. The winner of the competition will be awarded a place in the hall of fame.

May the best team win!

30 days agoMany take part just for the fun of it because their team isn’t at a very high level. When you know the results won’t be great, it’s harder to get motivated!
We could set up an investment fund to help these teams develop! Ultimately, FYM is here for the national teams, so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need a helping hand :)

30 days agoauthentik54: Bizarre cette chute brutale...il faut qu'on soit 32 au moins ca serait cool
Yes, well… I deliberately focused on the most recent peaks, which were exceptional.
27 – frankly, that’s good…
If we look back at the most recent CDMs:
CDM 55: 23 participants
CDM 56: 23
CDM 57: 29
CDM 58: 31
CDM 59: 32
CDM 60: 45 (!!!)
So, I don’t want to take any credit for this, but it’s clear that sending out a group message does help to boost the number of registrations a bit.
Also, historically speaking, I know that in the summer we ‘suffer’ a drop in participants… that’s normal…

Are you saying that I should pick a weak team, just to take part (although that would be a free team if I did that), or that I should ask my organisation for funding?

30 days agoI just wanted to echo Tazz26’s suggestion, which clearly states that his team supports clubs setting up a squad for VFIFA competitions; noted.
It’s up to you to decide what you want to do.
I played in the last two competitions with 13 players, including 3–4 who were just training ‘for fun’, but I won’t be playing in this one as I don’t have the squad needed to do well, and even fun has its limits. 😉
As for the rest, I don’t know which association you belong to, but most associations support their members’ projects (financial aid, shared scouting, youth development, etc.); it’s up to you.

30 days agoHe’s part of the upcoming ‘La Menace Gauloise’ alliance; we help people who want to get their projects off the ground, but we can’t provide money to build a team.
Support in this game isn’t just financial.
And we have an active Discord server that helps with that.
