I had a question about the allocation of home and away matches?
When I look at my record this season, it's impressive. Out of 10 games, 7 away and 3 at home (the 3 easiest ones at that).
The difference (there really is one) is quite significant, especially in the big games.
Is this a purely random draw or do other factors come into play?

Purely random

Yes and 3 at home could have been worse. I remember Hazard, unless I'm mistaken, had several seasons in a row with a very poor ratio.

Ok, it's complicated at times when you're playing big away games.

If home/away is purely random, 23/27 is insane! with a very low probability of it happening.

For me, it's not just a question of randomness, and you can see that on the cdf too, where some people get 83 84s all the time and you get pot63s all the time.
Fortunately detection makes up for it a bit

Well, as far as detection is concerned, I'm between the 2....s from 63 to 82, so there's not much to complain about there.

Cup matches should be considered as played on neutral ground.

In the league, there's no problem because there are 2 first legs and 8 second legs, but in the cup, it would be less arbitrary if one of the 2 clubs didn't leave with an advantage (not to mention the revenue from the match, which adds an icing to the cake).

Is playing in a home or away cup random?

I don't think so, because I've played a lot of cup games in the VFFA Chalenge and regularly played 1 home game and 2 away games in the group stage.

Either it's a HUGE stroke of bad luck or it's down to various rankings...
