Don't confuse annoyance with disrespect. I don't think a semantic debate is relevant.
Calling me "bonhomme" is a perfect illustration of the adage about shoemakers being the worst shod.
You can say what you think, but you won't force anyone to think like you.
Tense, yes, but not disrespectful.

I'm not saying it deserves a penalty but it is at least completely unnecessary.
