Last season, we had to wait a week to play a round in the league cup because of an entente cup followed by a friendly cup. With 10 members of the same entente in the league, I can't explain the hassle if there are competitions involved.

Cups no longer take the place of other matches, and haven't for a long time.
There was a correction made during an event cup, but it created such carnage that Aymeric cancelled the "correction".

So the cups don't shift the matches. This allows some to play with the dates, "imposing" their calendar. (I'm not saying that's the case here, I'm just explaining the elements)

For the moment, the only rule in force is the one defined by the admins here: #forum?topic=160487

We'll see whether that's the case here or not.

A useful reminder: if friendly matches are wrongly scheduled in order to delay the cup matches, the administrators are authorised to replace them with the cup matches scheduled for that date.

If I have an IE match on the 11th, 13th and 15th and then the cup may fall on the 12th, while the B team is on the 12th, can I schedule some friendlies so that the cup falls on the 17th?
Or will I have to sacrifice a match?

If everyone makes up their own schedule, scheduling friendlies so as not to have to play 2 official matches, we're not there yet.

I don't really see why it bothers me that official cup matches aren't finished on the dot. Admittedly, as usual, some teams perhaps (and this hasn't been proven) hijack the system a little to "arrange" their schedule.
But why shouldn't the final of the Champions League or League Cup be played in the 7th or 8th week of the season?
The real Champions League or French Cup final takes place in May or June, not October or November !!!!
In parallel, the championships should start earlier. At least two and a half weeks before you play your first game is far too late. I feel sorry for those who don't play in an official cup or who are unlucky enough to be knocked out of their cup very quickly and have to wait forever before playing an official match again (except in the case of iEs).

I have to admit that as I'm not involved in the agreements, when I get knocked out of the cup I get a bit bored with the friendlies.

We're talking about waiting ten days or so for friendly matches on vf. If your problem in life is a hole in your vf calendar, then you don't have a problem.

Between managing your calendar to shift by 1 or 2 days and scheduling 10 friendlies for nothing and shifting by 10 days, I think you really need a bit of common sense.
I agree that it's abusive to postpone by 1 week, but I don't mind if a guy places a friendly just to manage his team (for example, the A team and the B training team).

myforsans: Je vois pas bien en quoi ça dérange que les matchs de coupe officielle ne soient pas terminés au pas de course. Certes comme d'habitude certains détournent peut être (c'est pas prouvé) un peu le système pour "arranger" leur calendrier.
Mais pourquoi donc la finale de la Ligue des Champions ou d'une coupe de la Ligue ne pourrait pas se jouer en 7 ou 8eme semaine de la saison ?
La vraie finale de la Ligue des Champions ou de la Coupe de France à lieu en mai ou juin pas en octobre ou novembre ...
