Could the admins add some welcome clarifications to the rules, as the federations' rules are not really precise on this issue?
#community?rules

  1. If you are already president of a federation, are you allowed to stand for election to another federation during your term of office?
  2. If you are a coach in one federation, can you run for the presidency of another federation and, if so, if you are elected, can you then keep your position as coach in the other federation?

In short, can you be president and/or coach of two federations? (For example, I've identified a club that is currently coach of one federation and president/champion of another. Clearly, the game's settings mean that this is technically possible, but is it allowed?)

NB: A small point of clarification: it would seem that there is a setting in the game which means that when a president of federation X is elected to federation Y, he then loses access to his federation X, which means that the federation is then blocked for up to a year. Shouldn't the blocking parameter be set at the candidate application stage? But on the other hand, there is no block on being a coach.

NB 2: A radical solution to avoid certain borderline cases could be to remove the distinction between chairman and coach. If you stand for election, it's to be a selector, and if you don't want to be a selector...then you don't stand! ...a bit like today, if you're an MP you can't be mayor of your local authority, and if you're already mayor you have to resign your mayoral mandate.

Thank you for your clarification.

Above all, you should be able to accept/refuse to resign from the position of coach, as there is currently no message to notify you that you have been appointed to this position.

and just block access to other federations if you already have one

We agree, but we need to make a clear distinction between two things: 1) what the game's settings block (in which case the rules are self-evident) and 2) what the game's settings do not block but which would still be prohibited by the rules (in other words, what could be a loophole).

I don't think it's very coherent to be able to take over a federation in the middle of the season, especially as if the new president takes on another coach, all the possible bonuses will go to the new one.

Not very logical

We agree, but that's another subject!
The subject is the question of multiple mandates

Hello, I won the Belgian elections and I was also President of Malaysia. If I no longer have access to Malaysia, then you can't have two federations, but what would be desirable is for another election to be held so that the other federation isn't blocked.

I think you can be president of one and coach of the other.

It seems to me that the game doesn't give you access to the panels of the 2 federations.

What would also be good would be to "recreate" the topic for federations in the rules, which is currently deleted.

After all, there's a lot of development work to be done on this module if we want to make it viable:
update for the elections,

update for selector positions (so number 2, linked to the topic),

Off topic,
update on player selections (at the very least, the impossibility of selecting 2 players from the same club, even if this might give the modos some work to do for clubs playing with one nation...),
OR THEN
Update the display of a player to show the name of the club and its agreement, for example (see the SUSPENDED or BLEACHED status), visible to everyone (this will simplify checks by the president and other players, and ensure equality with regard to the rules).

updated to provide an alert in the event of a transfer (check the player's eligibility after the transfer),

For some time now, a coach has been able to be coach of several federations but you can only be president of one, I think. However, I think it's also possible to be president of one federation and coach of another.
In my case with New Zealand I'm president and coach but nothing else.

Thank you to the admins in charge of the rules for defining the rule once and for all to put an end to certain uncertainties, because at the moment it's all a blur.
Of course, the rule could be: "Anything goes", but in that case it should be clearly stated.

All your comments on the federations :

  • multiple mandates,
  • flaws in the management of one federation by another,
  • making changes of president coincide with the start of the season,
have been passed on to Aymeric.
    Please be patient.

If we could also solve the problem of double players in the same position, that would be great!

Teams that start with ten men and score would be good too.

Not to mention those who find themselves with twelve players, and I'm not talking about the referee ^^.
