I only arrived in early/mid 2007 from memory, or maybe at the end. In any case, in those days, there were virtually no restrictions. In 2011, when you had a player with 70 ng, he was the nugget of the club... no 99 on the game and no one was asking for it, so no players trained for styles with no head or tail.
There was some really good stuff before... there must surely still be some now but my eyesight has gone, so I find it hard to see myself.

Training sessions were also very different, with a bar of playing time to be filled by matches played, and then you could string together a huge number of training sessions as long as the players' physical condition allowed it.

The graphics were basic, the MDJ was close to the community, the admin and modo teams were working at full capacity, fanzines were legion, mutual aid and solidarity knew no bounds, there was a fiery atmosphere on the forum and we were breaking participation records on the evenings of season changes while Aymeric was working to fix the bugs. Nobody was complaining about the game either. A free game, what's to complain? And then there were the big names in the community

For me, if the game goes back just 3 years, that's fine because I was happy to have 60/70 pots and beat or give a hard time to +80s.
I've played games where I was worn out after 90 minutes because of the tactics I used to stand up to big teams.
Now it's all about composition/substitution and almost nothing else.
Personally, I'm having a lot less fun - you don't have time to adapt and things change again.

Moreover at that time, nobody spoke about it, it seems to me but there were regularly scores of the style 20-2 when a team was much better than the other... It is clearly not what misses most but of the blow, the topic "carrot" did not exist at that time ^^

The matches were much more competitive, in strategy it was intense, especially in vf Master where I keep good memories, I confess I don't understand the turn the game took to eliminate these players at 99 NG to now see players at 40 NG but training in a certain area to play more tactically, I don't find it consistent but that's the way it is
