8 month agoHi friends,
Is there a way to know how the impact of a player is calculated in a game plan (i.e. short passes, direct play, creative play, counter-attack or offside) and therefore, to go further, a way to maximize or at least optimize your team on a specific game plan? Thanks in advance!

8 month agoTo simplify, you can consider that 2/3 of the points awarded to the player that do not enter into the calculation of his rating but are useful for the style of play are included in the impact bonus.
With an example it will be clearer.

We can see that Kricak positioned in right midfield brings a bonus of +19.7 in direct play.

This comes from the 30 points he has in power, which are not used in the calculation of his rating as a right midfielder.
With the 2/3 calculation rule that I propose to you, we find a theoretical impact of +20. Very close to the real +19.7.
Good game.

8 month agoIt's kinda tricky. I don't think it's best to fully adjust to a single playing style (and I can easily have over 200 in bonus on short passing with my first team squad), because you'll have to give up on reaching high overall rating.
Pre-calculating bonus for players who don't use the skill / stat in question should be easy, I think around 62%, but I haven't checked in a while, maybe 66.67% from the above comment is more accurate. But it becomes a problem for the other players, for example if you play short passing, you'd want midfielders with high passing stats, but increasing other stats related to their overall rating decreases their bonus, so if you want really high bonus, you'll have to give up on high overall rating.

8 month agoexactly. so you need to make your choice and calculate what is the best for your team whilst you add overall rating and bonus.
depending on the opponent you may choose a solution and another one against another opponent.
There are a lot of situation and solution, experience will teach you how to deal with it.
Feel free to pm me if you want to discuss further.

8 month agoSo if I understand your explanations, it's better not to fixate on it, not to aim for a particular game plan and simply to adapt to the opponents?

8 month agoIt depends on your strategy.
I use the short pass a lot with a squad built for that. But sometimes against certain opponents I have to adapt, play normal, counterattack or direct play.

8 month agoToutatess: Donc si je comprends vos explications, il vaut mieux ne pas se fixer dessus, ne pas viser un plan de jeu en particulier et simplement s'adapter aux adversaires ?
No, it is better to have a well-established, assumed and mastered game plan while having a fallback solution in case of a confrontation against an opponent with the same plan and better players and/or impacts of style of play.
If you plan to adapt, you'll always have a deficit of impact against opponents with assertive playstyles or with better players, and that's going to be counterproductive, in my opinion. You will have to follow every minute of the match and constantly check the opponent's tactics and style so as not to be countered on the styles of play; It's a double-edged sword and it will only really work against opponents who don't have any style of play or don't control them or don't follow their matches.

8 month agoBut what I don't understand is that my two attacking sides are in order to center so with a lot of passing stats and have a negative impact on the short pass game. What is the reason for this?

8 month agoToutatess: Mais ce que je ne comprends pas, c'est que mes deux offensifs côté sont en consigne centrer donc avec beaucoup de stat passe et ont un impact négatif sur le jeu de passes courtes. À quoi c'est dû ?
If we take your starting MOG, he is trained for this instruction. As he is not overtrained in Passing, no bonuses and even a slight penalty.
If you put it on a Normal or Provoke locker, you keep a downhill NG in addition to the bonus. In Overflow, this bonus will be even better, but at the expense of the NG.

8 month agoOh yes indeed he gives +24 to the short pass game plan when I put him in overflow but the game tells us "passes/middle" for short passes and it's the speed that gives bonuses on the passing game? I don't understand everything 🤣

put it in AT + normal instructions and check all the styles xD

8 month agoBy attacking, the 65 points he has in pass are not used to calculate his score. So for the short pass style, these 65 points bring a bonus to about two-thirds of these 65 points.

8 month agoBut then, what is better between keeping players like this, modifying their stats to optimize a game plan or changing the position and stats altogether?

And the half comes back to what I said above: it depends on the opponent and the situation. It can depend on where you need your stats on your match: more attack? more middle? on one side? in the center?
And of course, it changes with each match depending on how the match goes, your opponent, his tactics and what you do to counter him or to gain the upper hand.

8 month agoConclusion, the best thing is to let the players with their stats, modify their role according to the most suitable game plan even if it means having them with lower stats than their classic NG?

8 month agoNo, conclusion:
define a strategy, how you want to play and plan either to accept to be bullied if you come across an opponent better than you in what you have chosen or a plan B.
There are team constructions that allow for several scenarios, but it requires reflection, time and experience.
