I am fielding all 11 players from my academy, but I do not get why the % towards sponsor target does not grow in the same numbers?

The goal should be to start games with 8 - 11 players from academy for at least 32 games, meaning that every game you do so you should be around 3% (1 / 32 * 100) closer to completing the condition for extra bonus.

It doesn't matter if you start games with 8, 9, 10 or 11 players from academy, the "gain" should be the same.

Meaning that if I don’t advance into cup competition very far, I am not able to collect this bonus. League games are not that much

You can play friendles in between league / cup games, they count as well.
