With the start of season 145, the succession to South Africa (winner of the 12th edition) is open.
The rules for this year's competition are the same as those for the previous edition, with one exception: At the request of several coaches and in view of the growing interest in this competition, the number of qualifiers for the finals will be increased from 12 to 16.
This is a trial run, and depending on what happens at this year's event, we will either retain the 16-qualifier rule for the next edition, or go back to 12 qualifiers (with an eighth-place play-off).

In practice, the federations have until Sunday 1 February inclusive to play their 4 matches (without scheduling a 5th, on pain of exclusion) and on Monday 2 February a list of the top 20 from the 1st phase will be published (the teams ranked 17 to 20 will be on the waiting list in the event of the withdrawal of a qualified team from 1 to 16).

Both players came on, but I would point out that even if they had remained on the bench, this would have been an infringement of the Federation League rules.
As a result, Colombia lost the match 0-1 on the green carpet.

Furthermore, this situation is prohibited by the VF rules and is the result of the use of a loophole (except in the case of a recent transfer, which is not the case here). It is up to the VF admins to draw the appropriate conclusions.

Due to a recent transfer, Sweden found themselves with two players selected from the same club.
As long as this has been reported before the match and the player does not enter the pitch, there will be no problem, provided of course that the situation is rectified for the following match!

You should therefore not schedule any friendly matches between now and this 1/8 final (or afterwards while you are still qualified), otherwise this will create bugs.

Very important for those who are not used to finals: if you want your players to come on the day of the match that has been scheduled manually, you will have to call them up once the match has been scheduled, otherwise you will forfeit the match (use the call-up button on the Selection tab). Be careful, if you are dizzy, the calls made too close to kick-off (generally less than an hour before kick-off) may not be taken into account by the programme, so...think ahead! otherwise you risk forfeiting the match.

The matches will take place on 7 February
In the event of a draw, you must send me 2 rounds of penalty kicks by PM (the 2nd round will be sudden death in the event of a tie after the 1st round), no later than 12 hours after the final whistle, failing which you will be eliminated.

As a reminder, you must submit your list of a maximum of 22 players here.
It is forbidden to add a player during the competition. If a player on the list is injured or after a transfer no longer complies with the rule of 1 player maximum per club or 5 players maximum per agreement, you will have to withdraw him (or in any case not play him) without the possibility of replacing him. This is why it is advisable (but not compulsory) to include two goalkeepers on the list.

To enable the organisers to check the validity of your list, you must submit your list of 22 players below by 8 p.m. on Thursday 5 February at the latest, failing which you will be disqualified.

You are free to choose the format of your list, as long as you provide the following 4 details: Name of the player (first name if applicable) - Club to which the player belongs - Association to which the player belongs - Number of players per association.

For information on Russia, I have a match 4 to play on 7 February, the date scheduled for the 1st match of the final tournament (match scheduled before I found out I was eligible for this final tournament).
So I can't produce a draw for the moment, as the players called cannot be withdrawn.
I'm sorting them out from the morning of 08. Normally, it was OK at the start of the season, so it should go quickly.
I can still provide a table if you want, but it won't be applied until after the match on the 07.

As for the fact that a friendly match has normally been concluded, this is a cause for exclusion from the final tournament (as there are 4 possible matches and a total of 8 possible matches per season), but as this match is the 4th (only 3 matches played in the first phase), we will, exceptionally, accept Russia's presence for the final tournament.
But the match must be played on the 8th.
Thank you to the Croatian coach (Brewen) for confirming that he accepts this change of date.
