The Afro-Asian Nations Cup is a very real trophy, which was contested between 1978 and 2007.

A virtual version of this prestigious trophy is on offer this season 145.

The preliminary round will take the form of 2 groups of 5 nations.
To maintain the inter-continental cup aspect, there will be an African group and an Asian group.
Given that there are 3 African nations, 2 Asian nations had to be designated to complete the group.
The Champion of Asia & Oceania, JAPAN : Esprit Shōnen FC ~©~ de maxence97300, is seeded in the Asian group.
According to the VF index of the various nations, the second seed is VIET NAM: U.S.Groix #AFC by Enez, who joins the Africa group as an invited nation.
In view of the indices, we have to rely on the draw .... and it is ... INDIA that becomes the second guest nation in the African group!!!

Tournament schedule
During the preliminary round, each match will be played at a random location.
We are pleased to welcome 2 English speakers to the competition, Arkajyoti Paul for Inda, and Ranerl Tan for Malaysia. Please bear this in mind when sending your match request messages.
There are 4 matches to be played, and the deadline is 3 February.

At the end of the preliminary round, the 4 best nations in each group will advance to the final phase.
The Final Phase will be played in a single match, with penalties if there is a tie. In the event of a tie, send 2 sets of shots and 2 sets of saves by VF messaging service to break the tie.
But it's best not to take penalties - you'll just have to give it everything you've got!

The quarter-finals will see the top teams in each group host the fourth-placed teams, and the second-placed teams host the third-placed teams.
The venues for the semi-finals and final will be random.
A small final is encouraged

That makes a total of 7 matches to be played to lift the coveted trophy: the VFIFA Afro-Asian Nations Cup!

Presentation of the groups

AFRICA group
The top seeds in this group are Enez's VIET NAM, semi-finalists in the last VFIFA Asia & Oceania Cup.
[Nani the Kid[/b], VFIFA coach of CAP-VERT, winner of the CAN VFIFA season 78, is making his competitive comeback!
The COTE D'IVOIRE of Le saint and the SENEGAL of Maguatte will start in their first VFIFA competition.
Arkajyoti Paul[/b]'s INDIA, who have been playing for several seasons, will be looking for their first qualification for a VFIFA finals.

Groupe ASIE
The JAPAN of maxence97300, double Asian & Oceania Champions, are the big favourites for this tournament. The Japanese fans have been very demanding since they won the VFIFA World Cup in season 140.
[Bayle[/b], head of TAIWAN, has been steadily improving his VFIFA team over the last few seasons. Qualification for the finals would be richly deserved, but first they will have to face the other Asian nations.
Louve's SOUTH KOREA is highly motivated. Their players can often be heard humming << We're going up, up, UP | It's our moment | You know together we're glowing | Gonna be, gonna be golden! >>, the worldwide hit of 'K-pop Demon Hunters' ( Is this a sign that Louve is going to go gold? Only time will tell!
Leguman[/b]'s LAOS will be doing everything in its power to reach the VFIFA finals.
[Ranerl Tan[/b], Malaysian manager , will be representing his country for the first time in a VFIFA competition.
