Personally, I'm against withdrawing from an official competition and being replaced by another team. However, as the manager who wants to replace you is the titleholder (iMcCarthy), the perspective is different.
I'll think about it and discuss it with the other administrators.

Whether it's the VFFA or the Champions League, every season there are clubs who take part but play for the sake of it by having their B team play so that they can be eliminated as quickly as possible (and sometimes their A team too, but after selling all their players in the off-season).
Sometimes this distorts the standings of the group being contested by the other 3.

It's mainly the schedule that's lousy and the bonuses really aren't that great.
In the VFFA at least, you have to work hard to get through the group stages: 3 intensive matches and in the end no bonus if you're eliminated afterwards.
Personally, I don't see any financial point in playing this competition. You might as well play in your own league cup, which at least pays off in the first round.

And if you play the competition to the full, it overlaps with the league: we don't all have 3 A teams. Far from it.
