I've just played a match and I don't understand how the MDM works.
I lost 1-0. No worries, I accept the defeat and congratulations to my opponent, who must know more about MDM than I do.
Overall, in terms of possession, it was balanced. Here are a few screenshots taken during the match which give a general idea of how it went.
What I don't understand is my XG, which is 0.13
I had 0 chances!

Could someone explain to me exactly how that works? Because at this rate I'm never going to score and I might as well sell all my players.

There's an opportunity at the end of the match, that's where the 0.13 xG comes from.

And to analyse PSG's goals yesterday, the victory was far from stolen but...

Barcola will make the same catch on the 1-0 100 times, 75 times it will be deflected by a defender, 15 times it will go over and maybe, at most 10 times inside so 0.10 xG.

Dembéle on the counter-attack, in my opinion, a shot like that must be close to 0.25 xG.

Vitinha's goal, the position of the goalkeeper, is not normally taken into account in the calculation, so we end up with a maximum of 0.05, although in reality, a lob without a goalkeeper has a better chance of succeeding than 5 times out of 100.

Kvara's 1st, a perfect curling shot, will go in at least 5 times out of 100 and the last goal, in my opinion, one time out of 4. So we're at 0.70 xG for 5 goals, an evening of success or immeasurable talent.

Take the "SECOND POTEAAAAAAAAAAU PAVARD" goal again, he can try it 99 times, it's not certain that he'll succeed once. So, 0.01 xG :)

You read a lot of rubbish on the forum. The xg on VF is not calculated like a "real" xg, it increases steadily, minute by minute, and is displayed all at once. You could see this when it was displayed during matches.

Demi-cerveau: On lit beaucoup de conneries sur le forum. La xg sur VF n'est pas calculée comme une xg "réelle", elle augmente de manière régulière, minute par minute, et l'affichage se fait lui d'un coup. On s'en rendait bien compte quand elle était affichée en cours de matchs.
