Well, it's called football and probability. Even though I doubt you'll want to make the effort to understand, I'm going to try and explain it to you anyway.

In football, an opportunity doesn't have a defined number of xG, except for a penalty (about 0.8 xG) but otherwise it's calculated according to the probability of scoring in a given situation.

For example, a free-kick from 35 metres has very little chance of going in, so it must be at around 0.02 xG more or less: you have to understand that out of 100 free-kicks from that distance, only 2 will go in. It's an opportunity, though, and on VF it would be shown in the match summary even if it's only worth 0.02 xG.

For another example, a corner with a header from a player close to the opponent's goal could be worth around 0.2 xG if he has an interesting chance to score. 1 time out of 5 it will end up in the back of the net according to the statistics.

Now on VF, imagine that you have 5 chances that earn you 0.02 xG each, and that your opponent has a chance that earns 0.2 xG, well despite your superior number of chances, he'll get double your xG.

Basically, there's no fixed xG value for an opportunity. It all depends on the probability of scoring. So the argument of "I have 4 chances, he only has one, but he has more xG than me, so it's a bug" doesn't make any sense...

Added to this is the fact that not all the chances that create xGs are systematically mentioned in the match summary.

A goal depends on the quality of the opportunity that led to the goal - it's the same explanation as the messages above ... A goal from a penalty was an XG of 0.75, but a goal from a shot from midfield would still be an XG of 0.000001.

I'm dead slow on the game. I'm keeping the account and my team in case things change one day (even though I've said many times that I'd stop, but it's complicated to let go of everything^^).
NG99 29 year olds who don't even leave for 25M, new managers who make NG85 or even 90 teams in a week, a MdM who makes you a match with 20 chances, xg 5 vs 0 and 0-0 to finish, unregulated transfers, a lack of new players, in short the list is long.
There's no point in making any more posts about this MdM who has a serious problem. There are just the defenders of the system who will tell you that having random results on a regular basis is normal.
You can make a 9-0 or a 0-0 with the same xG... It happens in real football, but here on VF, it's unfortunately too recurrent. Your xG and xGa at the end of the season are very often consistent, but to get there you've been on a rollercoaster ride in terms of results.
