Hello,

As you can see from my attached screen, I'm supposed to have finished 2nd in my group (despite a perfect tie in terms of goal difference and number of goals scored).
And yet it's my opponent (3rd) who goes through to the last 32.

Does anyone know why?

Thanks in advance

Otherwise, Group 24 of this season's VFFA for those interested in the subject.

unfortunately, no one can explain how the tie is broken in the event of a perfect tie.

We've already had this situation a year ago between lecastor and I don't know who, theories were flying in all directions and the end of the story was as follows:

franck40 : I was thinking seniority apparently not!! maybe the VF ranking
This - much maligned - criterion was used for a long time to decide between two evenly matched teams but, yes, this is no longer the case and, as Meno has shown, it would be a draw from now on.

Note that seniority (club uid) is still used to rank clubs for LDC and VFFA challenge qualification: the oldest are at the top of the list.
