Not at all – you simply can’t see your player because you don’t have access to players you can’t afford; as the bid amount exceeds your budget, you can’t see your player in the auction or on the transfer list, but he’s there, and you’ll receive the amount offered by the highest bidder (minus the agent’s fee, of course).
