A player announcing his retirement isn't necessarily going to regress, let's see......

NB: As soon as retirement is announced, the players can (it's not every week that they regress)

The age for announcing retirements is 32, which is how it's always been ... so your other player will announce at 32.
It has nothing to do with beaches

I have a player who announced his retirement at 34, another at 33 and another at 31.
Dunn, who retired at 37, had announced his retirement at 33.
So my logic would be that if a player has had a lot of injuries in his career he would announce his retirement before then, so the curve is adjusted according to retirement.

Er, I don't think the wounds are kept in the memory and resurface when you reach retirement age!

Nothing new, the player is likely to announce his retirement once he reaches the age of thirty, just as a staff member can announce his retirement from the age of 61 until the age of 65.
