2 days agoHello everyone,
It's fairly well known, but certainly not enough, so I'm taking the time to present it to you to share a REAL "good plan", and why not give you an idea for a useful gift for the festive season that's approaching.
The pass lecture / culture BnF costs 24 euros per year (or 15, depending on age and income).
https://www.bnf.fr/fr/pass-bnf-lecture-culture
I won't go into the physical possibilities offered by this pass, as the venues are all in Paris.
What's really interesting are the online resources that can be accessed remotely:
https://www.bnf.fr/fr/les-ressources-electroniques-la-bnf
-
e-books (800,000 available, via certain partnerships),
-
an encyclopaedic collection of books covering very wide areas (https://www.bnf.fr/fr/ressources-electroniques-exemples-de-collections-par-discipline) from leading publishers of university quality,
-
access to the daily press (https://www.bnf.fr/fr/ressources-electroniques-de-presse),
Here too, there is a plethora of resources on offer, including Médiapart, Arrêt sur Image and direct access to the New York Times.
And thanks to a partnership with Pressreader: 7,000 newspapers and magazines from 100 countries and in 60 different languages, including L'équipe, Libération, Le Parisien, Alternatives économiques, Marie-Claire, L'Express, Le Figaro, Vanity Fair, The Washington Post, Vogue, The Guardian, The Los Angeles Times, La Vanguardia, Novaya Gazeta, The Irish Times, Sowetan ... etc ...
And thanks to a partnership with Europress, you also have access to more than 1,500 newspapers and magazines, mostly French and French-speaking: many regional dailies such as Sud-Ouest, La Nouvelle République du Centre-Ouest, La Dépêche, Centre Presse, La Montagne, etc. and the magazine press: Le Point, Lire, Courrier international, etc....
And recently, the offering has also been extended with MusicMe, a music streaming service.

All this for 24 euros a year, or just 2 euros a month!!!!

I don't know if you realise that subscribing to just one of these press titles would cost you as much, if not more! A load of rubbish ...
I'm going to put in a damper on the site, though: the UI (user interface) is, how shall I put it ... not very ergonomic, in fact quite disastrous ... (due to a lack of maintenance and/or resources, I think).
But thanks to free and open source software, there's a great tool: ophirofox, an extension available for Firefox and Chrome.
Thanks to this extension, when someone shares with you a link containing an article with a paywall, you can click on it directly.
And you'll be able to use it in your everyday life ...

So, if you find this news interesting, don't hesitate to share it with others (outside the game, I mean)!
