How do you take part in this? I found it looking through cups yesterday and see it has already started with only 16 teams!

Why are teams not automatically put into this? I cannot find any information on this and would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

It seems you should take part of the Scottish Cup but doesn't. Even though I can't help you, just know there's someone, somewhere, working on the matter who will come back to you (shortly, I hope).

For an 8-club cup, only the D1 clubs are taken (8).

For a 16-club cup, all the D1 clubs (8) and 8 D2 clubs are drawn at random.

For a 32-club cup, all the D1 clubs (8), all the D2 clubs (16) and 8 D3 clubs are drawn at random.

For a 64-club cup, we take all the D1 clubs (8), all the D2 clubs (16), all the D3 clubs (32) and 8 D4 clubs drawn at random.

And so on.

The number of clubs entered in the cup depends on the number of clubs entered in the league at the start of the new season, which excludes new entrants and, of course, those who have left the league as normal.

If there are fewer than 64 clubs registered in the league, we start with a cup of 32 clubs, and so on.
For example, there were fewer than 16 clubs registered in the VF Masters, so the cup is made up of D1 clubs only.
