His "defensive" midfielders have better attacking stat than most of my forwards, so it's not that surprising he scored three times.

Also, it's not all about ratings, my defence is always really poor (and usually massively inferior to opponent's attack in league and cups) and yet I can't remember when was the last time I've conceded 3 or more goals in more than one game during the whole season, actually I rarely concede more than one goal in game and more often than not keep a clean sheet.
