Afterwards, my opinion (which is useless, but I like to give it), maybe:

• Make a pastel shade for the learned stations of the same color of the line, e.g.: blue for the def;, middle green, red off (we would see the difference better than there while in girs.
• Then, for the format, the nuance explained above, could allow to remove the "x" and "checkmark" below the posts.
• Why not to gain on the height format, so put the notes to the right of the posts.

Frankly, it's not very readable there, just a little color would give more readability to the learned positions!

Personally I would see something in this style.
Not putting colors everywhere, it's not a Christmas tree either, but for me it already makes a slight difference:)
