10 month agoHello.
Just a quick post to raise a subject. It's already come up in several other posts, with damage or otherwise, and given the lack of communication, or action, it seems necessary to summarise it all. I'd like to make it clear that I'm doing this after receiving the approval of quite a few of the managers concerned. The idea is to summarise the arguments in order to raise the concern.
The concern relates to naturalisations, which have become obsolete for the Federations. Both the new ones and the old ones, which have been in place for a long time.
While the idea of putting the federations in order, admittedly without debate with arguments and counter-arguments, can be conceived and respected, the method (with its consequences) employed poses serious problems that must be taken into consideration.
Most managers have been naturalised for a long time, with the aim of developing their players in the federation. Either to reap the benefits (XP, money) or suffer the drawbacks (injuries, unavailability), but also at the request of certain coaches who wanted to flesh out their teams with profiles that they did not have.
Everyone will have their own affinities with these elements, that's not the point, everyone will have their own opinion and their own vision of the Federations. With the creation of federations buggy for over a year at least (elections disappeared and you had to start all over again, with no result), managers, left out in the cold, had no choice but to naturalise if their players didn't have an active federation to select them from (small countries or inactive federations).
Naturalisation via the Store was therefore the option that satisfied everyone. It paid off. The manager realised his idea, the Store worked and Aymeric cashed in. No one was obliged to do anything, there were no worries, everyone knew what was going on.
Now, with the unilateral decision to block naturalized players from the federations (and retroactively), all the managers who had carried out these banking operations via the VF Store have been left out in the cold. Everything has been rendered obsolete. The sums paid are now useless. With no prior announcement, and no solution.
Worse still, players have become unusable (Federation domain) even though the federation creation bug has been resolved.
Managers have paid for something, and it's all been taken away from them, without the slightest explanation or announcement. How can this be managed?
We're talking about real money here, not fictitious money. And some of them have left quite large sums.
What's more, some managers have bought players, thinking they could make a return (or absorb their investment) because the players were available for selection. This sudden change leaves managers in a quandary. They have to put up with these sudden changes.
Personally, I think it would have been preferable, if the idea is to put some order into the Federations, to ban the selection of new naturalised players, while making the announcement. This would have made the operation honest and clean in the eyes of everyone. And then, after 5-6 seasons, things would regularise themselves. There would be no need to pay for a service that had suddenly ceased despite the sums involved, and no one would be harmed.
But if that's impossible, what solutions are available to managers who have bought stars expressly for this service, even though it has become totally useless?
This is the first time in my memory that the VF Store has generated a case with so many managers who have been wronged by their purchases.
Aymeric, how can we get out of this tricky situation?
Thanks in advance.

10 month agoHello
The game never intended naturalisations to give access to federations. Naturalised players are therefore not eligible for the federations, but following a bug caused by a change I made to the way the naturalisation log was stored, the players concerned became selectable. When I became aware of this bug, I corrected it.
In the interests of fairness, I will exceptionally restore access to the federations for players naturalised before 17 June. At the same time, you can expect to see a significant drop in benefits, as I've noticed that coaches can sometimes be canvassed to select certain players, which again is not in the spirit of the module.
What's more, I'd like to remind you that the VF Store is not intended to offer sporting advantages. So there's no point arguing with the amount of money you've invested in order to claim something.

10 month agoAll this (to me) seems fair.
I think a THANK YOU is in order.
Thank you for having read and taken into consideration the elements reported. It's a pleasure to read.
As for the points you've made, they're totally understandable and put things right. Everyone will be delighted, I think, with the clarification that was needed.
Thanks again.
Have a good evening.
