Official rules of Virtuafoot
Introduction
The rules must be known by everyone. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse to avoid penalties in case of violations. These rules apply throughout the entire site/application and may be changed without prior notice. Therefore, it is advised to read them regularly to avoid any unpleasant surprises. The date of the last modification of the rules is provided at the bottom of the page for reference.
Insults and Coarseness (Private message VF, Minichat, VForum)
Any insult addressed to a person, whatever the level of coarseness, is forbidden and sanctioned in the game (interview, private messages, VForum, and Minichat). For any insult, you will receive a warning and a fine. Depending on the level of your words, your account can be reset or deleted. Mockery, irony, and bribes, as well as threats, lies, and attempts of fraud (that means any lies to cheat), are also forbidden in the game and sanctioned.
In the same way, any coarseness in the name of your stadium, club, or pseudo will be moderated and you will receive a warning and a fine. In the event of a repeat offense, your club will be reset or deleted directly.
Racially or xenophobically motivated threats or insults will engender a lockout of your account. An administrator will decide the unlock of your account or its deletion. An unlock could be associated with a financial sanction or a reset of the club.
Identity-based insults that attack a person's moral integrity, such as insults related to family, or any form of discrimination (racial, anti-Semitic, homophobic, etc.), or any other element covered by the ethical guidelines of the Arcom - CSA, will result in your club being blocked. An administrator will decide whether to unblock or delete your club.
Unblocking could be followed by a financial penalty or a club reset.
Advice
To avoid being penalized, do not respond to provocations. Remain silent and do not engage further with your interlocutor, or contact an administrator.
Note on account reset
In case of an account reset, your VF points, infrastructures, level, bank account, and awards are reset to zero. The attributes and potential of your players are reduced to 1.
Multiaccount
Multiple accounts are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate blocking followed by the deletion of all associated clubs.
Definition
Having multiple clubs managed by the same individual is considered as multi-accounting. Whether for profit or not, multi-accounting is strictly prohibited and will be penalized. A club that has not provided accurate information during registration will not benefit from the presumption of innocence.
If a club engages in a transfer or loan involving an IP address common to another club, they will be considered multi-accounts.
If you discover this rule while managing multiple clubs, contact an administrator immediately to rectify your situation. If an administrator detects fraudulent activity, it will be too late.
Mentoring
Mentoring is made to assist new clubs in exchange for a financial bonus for the assisting club. If a mentoring club abuses this system, such as by spamming messages solely to earn money without genuinely helping the mentee, the club will forfeit the mentoring bonus and receive a fine. In case of repeat offenses, heavy financial penalties and account resets may be imposed. Similarly, excessively selling players to newcomers for financial gain through mentoring is prohibited. Administrators will assess the abusive nature of these actions.
Rules of transfers of players and staff
Definition of a donation
Any player transaction where a player is sold on the transfer list or through direct sale for €0 or at a significantly low price compared to their value, with the intention of benefiting the buyer, is considered a donation. This is related to disguised monetary donations. Monetary donations between clubs are prohibited. To define a significantly low price, we have established the following three tables:
Table A:
All players listed in this table have a progression coefficient between less than 1 and 0 for the youngest and are not yet in regression for the oldest. To define their average value, the criteria are age and rating (or the total of their attributes divided by two for players trained in a playstyle). The principle is simple: a player cannot be sold for less than 50% of their average value as indicated in Table A.
Example: A 23-year-old player with a rating of 96 (or with a total of 192 attributes) has an average value of 90 M. Since this player cannot be sold for less than 50% of their average value, the minimum transfer amount will be 45 M. Conversely, the same player cannot be sold for more than double their average value as indicated in Table A.
Example: A 23-year-old player with a rating of 96 (or with a total of 192 attributes) has an average value of 90 M. Since this player cannot be sold for more than double their average value, the maximum transfer amount will be 180 M.
Table B:
All players listed in this table are in regression and are more or less close to retirement. To define their average value, the criteria are the number of complete seasons before retirement and the rating (or the total of their attributes divided by two for players trained in a style). The principle is simple: a player cannot be sold for less than 50% of their average value as indicated in Table B.
Example: A regressing player with 6 complete seasons remaining before retirement with a rating of 96 (or with a total of 192 attributes) has an average value of 40 M. Since this player cannot be sold for less than 50% of their average value, the minimum transfer amount will be 20 M. Conversely, the same player cannot be sold for more than double their average value as indicated in Table B.
Example: A regressing player with 6 complete seasons remaining before retirement with a rating of 96 (or with a total of 192 attributes) has an average value of 40 M. Since this player cannot be sold for more than double their average value, the maximum transfer amount will be 80 M.
Table C:
All players listed in this table are young players in training with a progression coefficient between 100% and 1%. To define their average value, the criteria are age and potential. The principle is simple: a young player cannot be sold for less than 50% of their average value as indicated in Table C.
Example: A player aged 18 with a potential of 82 has an average value of 40 M. Since this player cannot be sold for less than 50% of their average value, the minimum transfer amount will be 20 M. Conversely, the same player cannot be sold for more than double their average value as indicated in Table C.
Example: A player aged 18 with a potential of 82 has an average value of 40 M. Since this player cannot be sold for more than double their average value, the maximum transfer amount will be 80 M.
PS: The values indicated in Tables A, B, and C may be revised over time depending on the evolution of the transfer market.
If it is a player exchange, the principle is as follows: if the difference (straight exchange or with financial compensation) between the two exchanged players is less than or greater than 10% of their average reference value as indicated in Tables A, B, and C, the transaction will be canceled (See the sanctions scale below). For example, a player A valued at 40M can only be exchanged for a player B valued at a minimum of 36M and a maximum of 44M.
The above rules do not apply to players sold at auction.
Sanctions:
- If the price of a player is excessively low or high compared to their value, the transfer will be canceled if an administrator notices within a maximum of 60 days after the transaction. The administrator will remind the buyer and seller of the rules.
- In case of recurrence, the concerned club will be warned and fined an amount equivalent to the transaction.
- If the club continues to disregard the rules, it may be temporarily blocked at first and permanently if it persists.
Note that the buyer will be just as responsible as the seller. If this occurs accidentally, you have a maximum of 48 hours to inform the anti-cheat administrator so that the transfer can be canceled. Administrators can determine the type of transaction (auction/list/direct offer), so don’t try to lie about its nature.
Furthermore, the transfer module cannot be used to heal a player in a higher-level infirmary or for a short-term loan: a player sold cannot be repurchased by the same club less than 56 days after the sale.
The conformity of a player's sale price will be determined by the game administrators as indicated earlier in tables A, B, and C. If in doubt, do not hesitate to contact them for advice.
Reporting a fraudulent transfer
If you notice a transfer that does not comply with this regulation, you can report it by clicking on the flag icon next to the transfer (in the transfer tab of a club or in the transfer list). However, any misuse of this feature may result in sanctions.
Negotiating with another club
- Requesting a transfer to a club whereas it was decided by private message (PM) to do a loan is a fraud.
- Making a paid loan whereas it was decided by PM that it was a transfer or being ambiguous to swindle someone is forbidden.
If a fraud is shown, the transfer will be canceled and the club will be warned and get a fine. In the event of a repeat offense, the club will be reset.
By the way, if a training bonus is previously negotiated with the agreement of both clubs and the loaning club reduces on purpose this bonus (and without the agreement of the other club), it will get a warning and a fine. The loan will be canceled. Similarly, the prolongation of a loan must be done with the agreement of both clubs. If it is not the case, the loan will be canceled, and the loaning club will get a warning and a fine.
Every manager has to honor commitments made with another manager via private messages, on the vforum, or in the mini-chat.
Advice
Keep screen captures of your negotiations and prolongation discussions, they will be the only evidence in case of issues with a loaning club.
Money transfers
Using the player or staff transfer module for money transfers is prohibited. The only authorized money transfers are those made as part of a union, and it is mandatory to route the money through the bank of the recipient.
Detection of a money transfer (via a player or staff member) will be left to the interpretation of the anti-cheating team.
If fraud is detected, the transfers will be canceled, and both the giver and the receiver will receive a warning, a fine, and repeated offenses may result in direct deletion of the club.
Matches
Each coach manages their squad as they see fit. However, matches must strictly adhere to the rules of the VF community. It is strictly forbidden to organize and/or play matches with the intention of benefiting another club or union.
Granting easy points to a club or union constitutes fraud, similar to the prohibition against giving players, staff, or money.
If such a match is organized inadvertently, immediately inform an administrator to arrange cancellation. In such cases, there will be no sanctions or warnings. However, if there is evidence of one or more fraudulent matches, all involved clubs will receive a warning, points from the fraudulent match will be canceled, and a financial penalty will be imposed. In case of repeat offenses, the clubs involved may be reset or deleted. Deliberate forfeits are strictly prohibited. Match-fixing is prohibited and may result in an account reset or deletion by an administrator.
Shared IPs
Intra-IP matches are limited to 3 per season, combining cups, leagues, and friendlies (4 in exceptional cases such as League Cup, Champions League, and Championship). IU and IS matches are prohibited if both opponents share the same IP permanently or temporarily at the time of the match. If such a match is organized inadvertently, inform an administrator immediately for cancellation. In such cases, there will be no sanctions or warnings.
Inter-Selection matches
You are allowed to call up to 16 players for international selection, plus any additional players from the manager's club (details below). However, a minimum of 7 players must be called up for each match. It's important to note that players currently on loan cannot be called up or played in matches, as they remain with the loaning club after the match and do not return to their original club.
Outside of the IS Cup, any Inter-Selection (IS) match against a union from a lower division is prohibited. Points earned in such matches will be deducted.
In Division 1 (D1), you can call up to 2 players per club and 2 players from your own club, totaling potentially 18 players (16 called up + 2 from your club).
In Division 2 (D2), you can call up to 2 players per club and 3 players from your own club, totaling potentially 19 players (16 called up + 3 from your club).
In Divisions 3, 4, and 5 (D3/D4/D5), you can call up to 3 players per club and 4 players from your own club, totaling potentially 20 players (16 called up + 4 from your club).
These are the basic rules for IS matches. Other rules to consider include:
- Playing in a 5/5/0 formation is not allowed, including during matches.
- Only one player specialized in marking is allowed on the field at a time. Substituting one marking player for another marking player is permitted.
- In a season, a maximum of 2 matches can be played against the same alliance in D1/D2, and 3 matches against the same alliance in D3/D4/D5.
If an alliance intentionally violates these rules, points earned by the offending alliance will be deducted. If an alliance is harmed by another alliance's failure to comply with these rules, the harmed alliance will be awarded points through administrative decision.
Intentionally lost matches will be subject to sanctions upon verification. It should be noted that the manager of the union team (head coach) is not permitted to use called-up players for their club's matches, nor are they allowed to train these players or benefit them from endurance gain events, under penalty of sanctions.
Inter-Union matches
As long as an administrator is in charge of the game, IU matches between two clubs belonging to sister alliances are prohibited. Please notify an administrator if such a match is scheduled so that it can be removed. If such a match is played, the IU will be canceled, and any points gained from the match will be deducted
Federations
When a player is selected by a Federation, the lending club receives 0.01 XP per match and a sum of up to 445k depending on the player's rating (excluding federation subsidies). Here are some rules to follow:
- Managers cannot select more than 5 players from the same union (including sister unions).
- Only players with a progression coefficient of 0 can be selected; young progressing players cannot be chosen.
- Each selection can include only one player per club.
- It is prohibited for a manager to contact a head coach or their chairman to propose a player. Head coaches determine their needs and compose their squad.
- Head coaches must wait for all players to return to their respective clubs before removing them from the selection. Afterward, head coaches can add/remove players and schedule another match.
Managers or federation head coaches who do not respect these rules will receive a warning followed by sanctions from the administration team. Any arrangement or non-fair-play behavior by a head coach or Federation president that can be proven will also be penalized.
Naturalization
Naturalized players (via the VFstore) will no longer be eligible for Federation team for international matches. If your player has been naturalized before June 17 of 2024, he will still be able to be selected, but starting from this date, naturalized players are no longer eligible for selection in federations.
These rules may change based on future developments introduced by aymeric45 for federations.
Club donations
Club donations are strictly prohibited. The donated club will be deleted.
Union donations
Union donations are allowed. However, it is strictly forbidden to transfer an alliance in exchange for in-game money or stars. Any violation will result in a heavy financial penalty for the involved clubs or account reset.
Exploitation of a bug or vulnerability
If you discover a bug or vulnerability in the game, it must be reported immediately to the anti-cheat administrator and game master. Intentional exploitation of such a bug for personal gain is prohibited. If you exploit a bug intentionally, you will receive a warning, a fine, and any gains acquired through the exploitation will be removed. In case of repeated offenses, your club will be reset or deleted outright.
Free agent players
It is strictly forbidden to recruit a player without a club who is not listed as free, regardless of their potential or NG. If you encounter such a situation, please report it to an administrator. Additionally, using scripts to find these players is prohibited. In case of violation, the player will be removed, and the club will receive a fine. For repeated offenses, the account may be blocked and reset.
Illegal money transfer via a union
Any illegal money transfer through a union will be penalized. The involved players will receive a warning and a fine. In case of repeated offenses, clubs will be deleted. The union will also receive a fine since it is responsible for its budget.
VF Stars donations
Star donations are allowed in the game; however, selling stars for in-game money is prohibited. Additionally, giving stars to a club to benefit from better prices for special players is not allowed. Offenders will receive a warning, a fine, and the removal of the acquired assets. In case of repeated offenses, the clubs will be deleted.
Advice:
It is recommended to keep proof of your star purchases in case of any issues.
VF Store
In case of non-compliance with the rules, no subscription refunds will be provided. You can purchase as many players from the VF Store as you wish. However, note that it is not possible to make a profit on the purchase price. This rule applies for three seasons following the purchase of the player from the VF Store.
Case of player quitting
It is forbidden to give players and money to other clubs, even when quitting the game (whether taking a break for several weeks or stopping permanently). Similarly, it is strictly prohibited to transfer all your money to an alliance when quitting the game, whether permanently or temporarily. However, whether quitting the game or not, each club is allowed to donate a maximum of 100M to a single alliance per season. If a club donates more than 100M to an alliance in one season, the excess will be removed from the alliance's account.
VForum (VFo)
Any complaint posted against someone will be penalized (you have administrators available via private message if you have complaints to make). Anyone who provokes will also be penalized (the administrator will judge based on the statements).
Player transfers section of the Vforum
To ensure this section of the forum remains as clear as possible, it is not allowed to create a topic to share the link of a player who is already listed for loan, transfer, or auction. Please use the "transfers" section of the Minichat for this purpose. The player must be under contract with you at the time of the auction and cannot be a youth player.
It is recommended to be as clear as possible when posting your requests/offers. If you intend to sell a player, you must provide the following information:
- Selling price
- Direct purchase price
- Bid increment
- Date and time of the auction's end
Discounts up to 20% are allowed, but must be specified from the outset. It is also possible to modify the selling price and direct purchase price during the auction, but only once. The bidder must clearly indicate the amount of their bid. For example: "60 M for Player X". Not specifying clearly, such as "+1 M", is not acceptable and renders the bid invalid.
End of the auction: If a bid is placed right at the end, it cannot be retracted. For instance, if the auction ends at 22:00, the last bid posted at 22:00 will be considered. Any bid at 22:01 or later will be invalid.
If there are no bids, the seller may request to close the topic before the auction's end date and time. Once a bidder has posted a bid, the seller cannot request to close the topic. If there are bids but the selling price is not reached, the seller does not have to sell the player, and the buyer is not forced to purchase the player.
If the selling price is met, the buyer must make the offer within 24 hours after the auction ends, and the seller must accept it. If the direct purchase price is met, the buyer must make the offer within 24 hours after posting, and the seller must accept it.
NOTE: Placing a bid commits you if the selling price is met. An offer made cannot be retracted; it becomes invalid only if a higher offer is made by another club.
Penalties for non-compliance with the regulations:
- 1st offense: 5% penalty of your bank account balance (with a minimum of 5 M).
- 2nd offense: 10% penalty of your bank account balance (with a minimum of 10 M) + 2-season ban from posting on the transfers forum.
- 3rd offense: 10% penalty of your bank account balance (with a minimum of 15 M) + permanent ban from posting on the transfers forum.
Minichat (MC)
Any external link outside of VF is prohibited without prior approval from a game administrator. Additionally, the tabs in the Minichat must be respected. Lastly, as in any other area, flooding is prohibited. After a first warning, a club that fails to adhere to these rules may face financial penalties.
The Minichat and Vforum are spaces for exchange; please respect everyone's opinions. (c.f Insults and profanity (VF PM, MC, VFO))
Accusing falsely or pretending innocence
Once a member accuses someone falsely of an act and it proves to be untrue, the accuser will face sanctions for defamation. Similarly, if a wrongdoer claims innocence despite evidence proving otherwise by the administrator, they risk having their account blocked.
Administration
Any non-constructive criticism of VF aimed solely at causing harm or challenging the game administration team will also be subject to sanctions.
Advice if you are sanctioned
When a player is sanctioned, only the player themselves and possibly their entente president can discuss the sanction with the Admin team. Any other person contacting us about this will, initially, receive a warning, and upon recurrence, will receive the same sanction as the first player.
Administrators do not issue sanctions for pleasure. Instead of vehemently protesting a sanction, try to understand it to avoid repeating the mistake that caused it.
