There's a disguised offer from the game with 3M transfers for free profile players (rating and potential <20), but from what I can see, it's pretty random.

A word of advice: infrastructure is what will enable you to structure your club in the long term.
Infrastructures are expensive, so the advice (the trap to avoid) is to spend too much on transfers, or even worse on paying loans.

Don't hesitate to look at the auctions, you filter 'no bidders', and by price you look at players at 0, up to 100k.
You position yourself, but don't overbid!
This way, you can get players with a rating of 50/60 for 0 or cheap, which is enough to get you started. And, for the big players, note 80 style, by following how much the auction ended at, it gives you an idea of the market price.
That way, you can avoid paying too much for players that some people put on the list.

You shouldn't be in too much of a hurry to build your team.
Patience and good management will be the keys to your long-term success.

As for the market value, I wouldn't know, the game has changed on that point this season, so it's complicated to assess.
