This subject is not intended to be taken seriously!
In view of the (alleged) difficulty the anti-cheating team has in identifying and deleting multiplayer accounts, and so that the community can regain some control over the little rascals who insist on their mischief, I'm proposing that we think about creating two extra levels on VF:
- level 0 - Club under audit
- level -1 - Toxic Club
These levels could be awarded to clubs guilty of wilful offences (offences defined in the VF rules and likely to evolve) aimed at obtaining or encouraging the obtaining, during or at the end of these offences, of a direct or indirect illicit sporting or financial gain in relation to another club or the rest of the community.
This also applies to clubs which, via their managers, and through VF in its entirety as well as on the communication networks linked directly to VF (VForum, minichat and private messaging) or indirectly (Discord servers of the agreements and extensions), are guilty of any offence, insult, attack, discrimination or nuisance likely to have a negative impact on the game or its community.
A club will be audited for a defined period (a sort of quarantine), at the end of which its level will either be restored to its pre-audit level or downgraded to level -1 - Toxic Club. The anti-cheating team (or task force created for the occasion and including the managers affected as well as those likely to make a contribution) would be responsible for examining the club's situation and would be submitted to a vote by the community after explaining the alleged facts, accumulating evidence and proposing additional sanction(s) (financial, sporting, other) in addition to obtaining level -1. In certain cases, and depending on the nature of the alleged offences, a sanction could be applied without a community vote (a sort of French 49-3) if events of sufficient importance to jeopardise the legitimacy of the deliberation or vote justify it.
The impact of such a decision on a club will have repercussions on its managerial and sporting capabilities:
- Inability to take part in any championship or cup (with the exception of the Toxic Championship and Toxic Cup, which have been specially created and are open only to Level -1 clubs),
- Impossible to join a cartel (with the exception of the Entente Toxique, a cartel automatically created and grouping together Level -1 clubs upon application for membership),
- Access to transfer markets limited to free players only (and therefore not including free players at auction),
- Impossible to transfer to or from a Level 1 to 10 club,
- Access to private messaging restricted,
- etc.
Clubs sanctioned in this way will nevertheless be able to continue their actions amongst themselves, or take advantage of the probationary period of one full season made available to them in order to reflect on the said actions and formulate a duly substantiated request for reinstatement. Conditions to be defined.
We welcome any suggestions that you may have.
I see this subject as a way of burying the hatchet between two divided communities sharing the same land and having two diametrically opposed visions of what VF is. A clash of civilisations, I dare say.
In these festive times, let's remember that in 2025 there is still at least one old man who, in the space of one night, distributes billions of gifts made all year in his workshop and specifically for that night to billions of children all over the planet. I believe that such a gift of self should inspire humility and sharing. So let's share this earth, and build a great wall of love and reinforced concrete between our two worlds. Merry Christmas to you all! 🎉
