Hello everyone!
As you've probably seen, Virtuafoot is organising a tournament this summer that's open to everyone and gives you the chance to win quite a few things.
I'm opening this post to discuss this tournament.

Personally, I think it's a good tournament, but I wonder if it's only going to benefit the big teams, so there's nothing for the smaller teams to do.

J'ouvre ce post pour discuter de ce tournois.

Personnellement, ce tournois m'a l'air bien, mais je me demande si ça va pas profiter uniquement aux grosses équipes, et donc que les petites équipes ne puissent rien y faire.

A lot of the big teams already have them or don't need them. After all, if they've managed to build their club, it's because they had the means to do so, right?

It changes nothing that 50m is 50m a club with the means always wants more and that seems logical to me.

Big or small teams all have the right to take part and everyone can win it if you think you've got a team capable of doing it. If you think it's going to be difficult, just sign up if you want to take part just for the fun of it and to see how far you can get with your team.
It's an interesting tournament and it might help us discover some teams.
It's really great, so everyone's profit will depend on their objective.

I think it is wrong and indifferent to reward only the winner.

However, even with the best tactics in the world, if you're up against a team with only players who have a lot of ng, and you don't have a lot of ng, then you're dead.
I've got a small club, very few ng, I try to do my best tactically, but I struggle, I take part in tournaments but without much conviction if I come up against a big team, which will certainly happen for all of us.

If you win a match in knockout matches you win 2M.

calou5: Cependant même avec la meilleure tactique du monde, si on affronte une équipe avec que des joueurs qui ont énormément de ng, et qu'on a pas beaucoup de ng, bah c'est mort.
J'ai un petit club, très peu de ng, j'essaye de faire de mon mieux en tactique, mais j'ai du mal, je participe au tournois mais sans grande conviction si j'affronte une grosse équipe, ce qui arrivera très certainement pour chacun d'entre nous.

You could sign up just to enjoy and have fun and why not make carrots for the big guys 😂😂

It's the return of the bickering between the big favoured clubs and the small clubs?

A tournament that doesn't offer much other than what we're looking for when we play this game: matches and a bit of competitiveness.

The prize money is obsolete, we're not talking about a nice player but an ordinary amount of money with a line in the record books.

It should be fairer

How much money do you have to say that?

The big teams weren't built in a day. Behind them you have club management that often spans several years.
So of course some of the big teams shouldn't miss out on this, it's simply part of their management. Maybe in time you too will be considered a "big team" thanks to your hard work and management, and I can imagine that you'll be happy to take part in this kind of tournament 😉

It's always the same thing anyway and apart from creating tournaments by level you won't be able to do much about it. And even then you've got N1s with 90ng teams, so let's just be happy that this tournament has been created and enjoy it.

Lolo7: Les grosses équipes ne se sont pas construites en un jour. Derrière tu as une gestion de club sur, souvent, plusieurs années.
Donc bien entendu que certains gros ne devraient pas passer à côté de ça, ça fera partie de leur gestion tout simplement. Dans quelques temps peut être que toi aussi tu seras considéré comme "grosse équipe" à force de travail et de gestion et j'ose imaginer que tu seras heureux de faire ce genre de tournoi 😉

For the smaller teams, there's the Legends Cup.

We know that it's bound to benefit a big team, but as Lolo said, it didn't take the guys 2 days to build this and they deserve all the credit. With hard work and discipline, it's possible for everyone to get there.
Personally, I'd find a small tournament with the same teams for everyone, a bit like the Euro, interesting, as the tactical side would be favoured.

Personally, I think it's good, but if the groups are homogeneous, it's even better to put all the big teams on one side and the small ones on the other 🤣

What I remember is that there's something new, good or bad, it's TOP. And it's a good thing this little tournament is so richly endowed. I'll be watching from afar with my dream team :)

It's true that the 1/2 indices will have less chance than the 10 indices, given the technical aspects...but that's the game, it's like a French Cup...

I totally agree, as soon as something out of the ordinary comes up (as a reminder, the last news item was 9 months ago!), Pierre Paul or Jacques immediately starts whining that he's at a disadvantage compared to someone else.

Wait until you have more details on how the groups will be made up, for example...
Having said that, it's clear that starting with a group phase with seeded teams and all that doesn't bode well for the number of rounds that small clubs will be able to get through :-(

To appease the whiners, perhaps rather than a tournament with an initial group phase, it would have been better to have a French Cup-style format with clubs entering as they progress through the rounds according to their level (or supposed level).

But if it's the organiser's choice to proceed with groups, you have to comply and take part with a smile on your face rather than complaining and, if you don't like it, simply not taking part.

There are enough challenges in the game (official and unofficial) to allow everyone to enjoy themselves according to their level and progress step by step, rather than wanting everything right away by raiding players at the Vfstore.

No need to get worked up, the game will pick the winner anyway.

Simply limit the ng to 65 that would balance the debates and tactics would be put forward 😉
After that I think it's not a question of money but rather of competition and that everyone has a chance to take over skyz the mdm can fail and decide the unthinkable 😉

Given the number of registered voters, you can expect bugs during the first round and certainly during the second 😅

Personally, I would have preferred a small improvement (rather than a dislike button) at least than a cut with +500 members.

Is this a display bug or a typo?

It says in one place that it starts on 14 July and in another that it starts on 14 August.

Why was the tournament postponed to 14/08 before we updated the club numbers? Was the start date 14/07 a display bug or was it also changed?

Yepp it's good to postpone the tournament so I can strengthen my team 😁
