A few days ago, I was hanging out on our old VFIFA forum ... and I can't believe it, I've been harping on this old record for 10 years now!

Frankly, you can be proud of taking part in this 60th CDM VFIFA, we're going down in history ... all together

Sure, there were 38 of us registered for the last Continental Cups, so beating 36 in the CDM was doable ... but 45, that's FORTY-FIVE of us!

With 9 groups of 5, that's 90 VFIFA matches for this first round

Yes, the level is high ...
And, yes, with 2 qualifiers (or even 1 for 2 groups: we take the top 9 and the 7 best 2nd-placed teams), there will be a lot of eliminated players in this first round ... for the rest of the competition to run smoothly.
But don't be disappointed, be proud to represent your nation!
And 4 matches minimum is a great way to enjoy yourself and gain international experience.

45th Great Laotian incursion, but Bounporn B. Xaysongkham shoots straight at the keeper.
I clap my hands and cheer them on...

Cox shifts to the right wing and passes the ball to Flores... Flores passes back to Flennell, the defensive midfielder... Flenell breaks down the left wing ... Danny D. Golding, the support striker on the left wing, hooked the ball past his opposite number and unleashed a mule-like shot from an impossible angle... Phongsavanth Khunsamnarn relaxes, but falls back just as quickly as a big bag of rice... goalkeeping is a job ...

The clock is ticking ... I'm stamping my feet on the bench, I'm stamping my feet ... we're not going to start with a defeat, after all .... My assistant coach, Soutsakhone Phonepaseuth, stares at me and says with a smile: "You saw, we scored once we made the 5 changes ... that's a sign ... hihi ... "
