i don't understand in a match is it forbidden and if it's done the points go to another agreement why not the same thing in an official club competition because it's ridiculous we'll never see a big club doing that
and i just remember my club valencia doing this at arsernal with 2 dfc in the end it ended 7-1

whether I win or lose I don't find it very logical in an official match I'm talking and I'm not ranting I'm just saying an opinion as it exists in an official match.

The position of the outfield players is not one of the 17 laws of the game.
It was the coaches, fans and journalists who decided to call the players "defenders", "midfielders" and "strikers" and to place them on a 3-5-2, 4-4-2 map... as if they were fixed pawns.

As far as I'm concerned, if you want to put 11 strikers in, that should be your right. It doesn't make sense. You're going to lose. I used to do it at FIFA99 with Batistuta in central defence ... But you should be able to do it. ^^

Isn't it just the 5-5-0 that's banned in IS? I find that strange. In a game, you should be able to play the way you want as long as the game gives you the opportunity to do so via the tactics tab.

You can play in 5-5-0 for the game it does not block you, however aligning 5 strikers the game blocks you are forced to circumvent the system a little to do so.

For me it's only forbidden in the regulations is (and it depends on the division maybe).

As Misha said, it's a matter of pawns on a pitch, basically there are 10 outfield players who are attackers and defenders. It's evolution that wanted positions but the rules have never forbidden playing with 5 or 10 attackers. As far as the iS are concerned, it's just a bunch of moaners who moaned because they were playing marking/power or speed, that's all, so that's how it was set up.

And yet he had better defensive rating than I've had in any game this season (I'll eventually pas the bar when I play 1st choice GK, but not by much).
I don't mind "unusual" formations, well I've played 3-5-2 with 2 SACs, so some referred to it as playing with 7 midfielders. And, with playing styles, you can have best ratings in a "third" / "part of the pitch" with least players (theoretically even without players).

Joking aside. For my part, it's true that I'm not a fan of these 4-1-5 or 0-5-5 tactics... It's a bit vicious but you have to deal with it, there's no choice. Except if one day there's a reform and at least 2 players per line.

The opponent Valenciano mentioned is in my league. He knocked me out of the TaB Cup last season, and he beat me twice in the league with his 5 strikers. That really annoyed me. But I see it as an option like any other, an accepted tactical choice, and I've never complained about it. I never play that way, but I think we should still be free to field the system of our choice without being restricted... There's room for 5 ATs and 5 ASs... Why are we limited to 5, and now 4? It just doesn't make sense.
Obviously, playing without an IRL defender is suicidal and doomed to failure. But VF isn't real football... And that's why we love it...
