4 dagen geledenHello,
Welcome to the game!
As far as I’m concerned, the (required) staff level is a relic of the past… it should be removed…
Previously (I’m talking about 2007), when a player was converted into a staff member, they would become a staff member with a required level matching that of the club that had converted them. This was completely unrelated to their skill level.
That can no longer be the case, because when I look at the most recent staff members I’ve converted, they all have a required level of 1.
In my opinion, this required level is obsolete.
The value of staff members is equal to their salary in the ‘free agents’ section.
This is because once your club reaches level 2, you’ll have access to transferable staff members, and on that list, the price is set by the selling clubs.
Staff salaries are set when converting former players into staff members; they then increase every time a staff member changes clubs.
Taking all this information into account, I can only conclude that this Level 5 staff member (with low competence) that you’ve seen must be some sort of dinosaur who’s been lingering in the game since a bygone era and is ‘recycled’ whenever clubs are removed… or perhaps a bug… in short… just ignore it.
When choosing a staff member, only take their skill level and age into account…
Their salary should be reasonable, unless they’ve played for lots of different clubs during their career.
One last thing: if you want to convert a player into a staff member, they must have been with the club for 3 seasons (168 days) for their ability to match their potential.
So, if you spot a cheap player at auction with a zero rating but huge potential, it could be a good deal if you’re thinking ahead.
There you go, I hope I’ve made myself clear,
Enjoy the game!
;)
