I’ve been taking a closer look at how certain parts of the club operate during the off-season, and I’ve noticed that the Press/TV department is somewhat at a standstill at the start of the season, with the only option being to acquire TV rights to keep a TV channel running.
So, I’d like to put forward an idea that might be worth considering to boost a TV channel’s activity during non-league match periods. Wouldn’t it be a good idea to add extra interview slots during the off-season?

The aim would be twofold:
To allow TV channels that wish to do so to continue developing throughout the season by paying for in-depth written interviews.
To allow managers to earn additional income whilst showcasing their club.

We could envisage a maximum of three interview slots during the season:
The first 15 days of the season: An interview focusing mainly on the club’s objectives for the season.
Mid-season: An interview reviewing the first half of the season.
The final week of the season: An interview reviewing the season.

This is just an idea, but I think it could be an additional feature to maximise interaction around the game, whilst showcasing the clubs via an extra tab in the ‘Press’ section, which would act a bit like a ‘Club Gazette’.
Of course, in my view, this type of interview must meet certain quality standards: if a manager wants to be eligible for the payment due, the interview must also be substantial. We could therefore envisage different levels of remuneration depending on the number of characters in the interview.

The scales are yet to be worked out, as is the ratio of written output to remuneration, but I really do think this could be a nice way to enhance the gaming experience. That said, I’m not sure if the idea has already been mooted in the past.
