11 hari yang laluThere was also the recent takeover of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait by the Houthis in Yemen, who also carried out a drone attack on a Saudi Aramco refinery. The Saudis have, moreover, announced that they will not honour deliveries of European orders for October (15 per cent of consumption).
With OPEC divided over the course of action to take regarding production targets… (they have certainly been more divided since US intervention in Iran, as member countries have suffered the consequences without having been warned by the warmongers), and with the financial markets being what they are .... A sustained and continuous rise is to be expected ...
Unless there are any new announcements or developments.

11 hari yang laluThe energy transition is a sham peddled by the marketing gurus of liberal capitalism, addicted to growth…
If, tomorrow, the entire French vehicle fleet were to become 100 per cent electric, France’s nuclear fleet (currently 58 reactors) would have to be doubled, according to ADEME.
And bear in mind that, with this summer’s heatwave and river levels at an all-time low, at least four reactors had to be shut down this summer (from memory – I may be mistaken).
Infinite (economic) growth in a world of finite resources is illusory, impossible.
It is an entire societal model that needs to be completely overhauled, that needs to be rethought.
We need planned degrowth… Otherwise, it will be forced upon us.
However, the interests of multinationals and the upper classes run counter to the common good.
I’ll stop there, as this is already quite a political discussion, and it goes against the rules.
I have no desire to get into a row.

12 hari yang laluI live 25 minutes from work. In February, I bought an electric bike so I wouldn’t be sweating when I got to work. I use the car four times a week, as well as for supermarket shopping and other errands. It takes me 1 hour and 10 minutes by public transport. By bike, it takes me 45 minutes. I save about 150 to 200 euros a month. That’s about it.
