Hello everyone

September marks the start of the new season: the squad is at full strength, pre-season is behind us, and the inter-club fixture list is back on track. This is the perfect time to launch Virtuafoot’s second community goal.

It’s taking a new form. In 26 for 2026, the whole community was working towards the same progress bar. This time, it’s split in two: from 1 to 30 September, Team Blue and Team Red will each be working towards their own counter, side by side, and the gap between them will be displayed in real time on the goal page.

The two teams

Your banner is that of your alliance: it’s what places you in a camp, and the choice is fixed for the entire duration of the Challenge. Nobody chooses their camp, and the two teams have been formed with equal numbers of players.

One thing to bear in mind before claiming victory: alliances that are very close to each other sometimes find themselves on opposite sides of the line. The Teams tab tells you who is competing under which banner.

The concept

There’s just one rule: score in inter-alliance matches.

  • 1 goal scored by your club = 1 point for your team.
  • Only inter-alliance matches count.
  • Points are awarded at the end of each match, once the final whistle has blown.
  • A defeat is worth just as much as a win: it’s the goals that count, not the result. A 4–5 result helps your team progress further than a 1–0 win.
  • Walkovers earn no points.
  • You must have joined your league before 1 September to take part in the Challenge.

The rewards

Each team has its own tiers and unlocks them based on its own total:

  • Tier 1 — 800 points: prize fund of €3m
  • Tier 2 — 1,600 points: prize pool of €6m
  • Tier 3 — 2,400 points: prize pool of €10m

Your share then depends on your contribution ranking within your team: the top 25% receive the full prize pool, whilst the next tiers receive 75%, 50% and 25% respectively.

On top of this, there is a special reward for all contributors in the top 75 per cent: +5 Attack for all players already in your squad before 1 September. September recruits do not benefit from this: the bonus rewards the squad that played throughout the month, not the one bought at the end.

Nothing is automatic: rewards must be claimed on the objective page once the event has ended.

Taking part

As with the first community goal, remember to click ‘Take part’ on the goal page before scoring: contributions made before registration will not be counted. As the Challenge involves inter-alliance matches, you must be a member of an alliance to join a team.

Thirty days, two counters, and 10 inter-alliance matches per club between now and the end of the season to make a difference.

Good luck to everyone
