Hello everyone.

During my Champions League match this evening, I realised that my opponent had made six substitutions.
I’d like to know whether several managers were in the same situation, or whether the limit on substitutions has been raised to six!?
I do believe, however, that I was indeed at 5/5.

It doesn’t change anything about the match, mind you, I’m just wondering. Just to make sure I haven’t missed something.

The changes.

A player went out on loan during the match, which allowed him to make an extra substitution.
When a player is transferred during the match, they are removed from the team sheet.
But I believe this issue has arisen in the past and that making a sixth substitution is not permitted, although it is allowed if the situation permits it.
